Working day 9 for us. I just checked the tracker and number of outstanding actions has increased from 4 to 8…. But it’s the same things repeated?

Question. Does the tick mean it's actually been done? I called them and they said its still 4 working days from when the docs were submitted to them

Natwest are taking maximum time at every stage if not slightly longer they are doing everything super slow,  Tick from my understanding they got it but being reviewed (questions to normally follow)

Current service levels - (Working Days)
    pre-underwriting - 3 Days
    Underwriting - 11 Days
Asses Further 4 Days (Documents submitted date)

Does this mean our broker only submitted the document requested on the 8th? I was under the impression he did this when we first applied. I only found out we had access to this online tracker yesterday & it didn’t show the last bit when I first checked. Everything else is ticked but says we have 2 open actions.

Anyone know how long it will take from this stage? I have no idea what the next steps are but broker said we should hear this week, looking unlikely?

  • Offer received today woohooo!

    22 Feb               DIP received
    5 April                Offer accepted
    29 April               Valuation
5 May                  Applied for Mortgage offer
16 May                 Lender asked questions regarding some of my transcations on bank statements and asked for more documents
    17 May                  I replied Lender
17 May                  I instructed solictors to start searches
25 May                  I paid product fee
    6 June                   no update yet

I think the clock really starts when you make the application for you its 5th of May the same day as mine! Give them a call get an update from them, make sure you haven't got anything outstanding in digidocs for all applicants.

I did response back from Natwest just before the bank holiday asking for more information and 12 months worth of bank statements which I have given them, underwriters at Natwest not fastest and just too many questions. They don't like self employed people.  I am expecting a decision anytime now as I have given them everything possible.    I made the mistake of taking further borrowing with Natwest I really should have re-mortgaged to a different lender it would have been easier and less painful. Natwest isn't a good leader for buy-to-lets as they don't  allow rental income for your affordability calculations which makes no sense!

I called them yesterday. Got lots of questions today
    I give up!

I know the feeling however because you are committed now just answer them best as you can and wait for response back is 4 whole working days before you might get a response back.

it's been a nightmare experience with Natwest for me being self employed I would never use Natwest again lots of other lenders who are more relaxed with self employed. I have a good credit score, currently have 7 mortgages in total and  this Natwest one gives me the most pain! I want to change lenders now however also committed so will have wait for outcome. Being an exciting customer and getting some additional borrowing has been a big error on my part awful and very slow experience.
