5 PCN,s is at most £500 at £100 a pop , so no idea how they can claim more than double , other than by adding on debt collection charges that are not allowed !! Typical artificial inflation1

If the dc claim pcn is the EXACT SAME as one of these 5, you absolutely have them.Have a look at what I said about a formal app, ication to strike out4

Hi, how did you work out the dates? My letter says I have 14 days to reply which would be the 18th Jan? Do I then have 28 days from the day I submit my AOS?KeithP said:KC14 said:The issue date on the claim is the 4th Jan 2021.With a Claim Issue Date of 4th January, you have until Monday 25th January to file an Acknowledgment of Service. If possible, do not file an AoS before 9th January, but otherwise, there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 8th February 2021 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
 Many Thanks0

he used the MCOL site , you have 5 days from the issue date , + 14 days as you say , + an extra 14 days added on to the standard 14 says providing you do the AOS at the right time of between 5 and 19 days after the issue date , making the deadline 33 days after the issue dateso doing it too early or too late causes problems , so next monday would be good for the AOS for example , but say you did it next thursday , his dates would still be the same , it will never be longer than 33 days, but can be shorterI can assure you that KeithP has done this task hundreds of times on here3

That is not quite what your 'letter' says. The back of your County Court Claim Form tells you: Note the last sentence there - "The day of service is taken as 5 days after the issue date shown overleaf". It goes on to say:
This is confirmed in the Money Claim Online (MCOL) - User Guide, which also explains that a Defence is never due on a non-working day.
On page 14 of that document it says:How long does the defendant have to respond to my claim?
The court will send out a claim pack to each defendant once the claim has been issued and allows 5 calendar days from the date of issue for the service of the claim. Therefore the 'date of service' is the 5th calendar day after issue.
The defendant has 14 calendar days from the 'date of service' to file a response. If the last day for filing the response falls on a day that the court is not open (i.e. a weekend or public holiday), the court will allow the next full working day for a response. The defendant can extend the time to respond to 28 calendar days by filing an acknowledgment of service (AOS).4

Its not one of the same fines unfortunately. I only know about 4 of the PCN's on the new claim so I will have to submit a SAR to get all the information. I have found an email from the Man Co saying VCS would cancel the fines but they wanted a £20 admin fee for each one which I wasn't liable to pay as the Man Co were at fault for not fixing the entry gates for months.nosferatu1001 said:If the dc claim pcn is the EXACT SAME as one of these 5, you absolutely have them.Have a look at what I said about a formal app, ication to strike out2

Oh, so this new claim is not including the earlier PCN claim that was discontinued. What a shame!
How is the ridiculous sum of over a grand arrived at?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Will estoppel apply or does it only apply when the case has been heard at court?

Surely if they agreed to discontinue legal proceedings in 2019 that should work in my favour?
