The seller who gets their supplies from Malaysia sells 30 x Muffin cases for £0.99 and £1.35 p&p , the muffin cups are sent in a jiffy envelope. (8p each)

    mine arriived boxed,that seller
is being a bit slack to just pop
    them in a jiffy bag,especially
as they are coming in from
    overseas

    *************************************

The thicker strawberry cases from the same seller are 15 for £1.35 and p&p £1.35. (£0.18)

    happyshopper-uk has 95 x strawberry cases for £9.99 with £2.80 p&p. ( 13p each )

if you think about it by the time you add
postal costs within the UK for Good fairy
to post them on to us,it might not be a
saving for anyone, might be more prudent
to go for the heart printed ones.As no one is
    selling these.

although I have a plan for a simple wrap
just got to try it out to see if it will work.
will be back in a tick.

in the words of somone famous(dont know who)

    watch this space !

sat in Cafe Nero waiting for
    other half to finish work.
    Bored I noticed this bloke
    sat near me.He had bought
a muffin and I noticed it was in
    a brown patterned wrapper well
    it looked almost cup like.

I wondered hows he going to
get the cake out of that,so I
    sat and watched.
As he peeled back the wrap
and then realised it was not a cup
    but a wrapper.Thinks ooh yes I will
have that wrapper when he has gone.
phone rings " if you want a lift home I have
finished",darn I wont get the wrapper after all
but I have just had a go with a bit of
grease proof wrap. What do you reckon its just
a square folded. But with the right paper it could
look quite good, with a decent cherry or strawberry
on top and a nicer ribbon, perhaps something thinner
and a better colour.See what you think

See where this thread has got me ?
    watching strange men peeling
wrappers on cakes in coffee bars,
where will it all end !

  • You've probably made that muffin-eater man's day. He's probably strolling around, chest puffed out, thinking about the lovely lady who couldn't take her eyes off him!!

Those look absolutely gorgeous!! Great luxery feel about them. Good for mothers day. Still waiting for cupcases. I love the printed heart ones but since I have ordered 3 lots from Malaysia I'd better not order any more..

I bought doilies for going under my swiss rolls. I had positive feedback from girls at work about my chocolate logs and Christmas cake, they said everyone they showed them too was impressed.. I told them there are more to come soon... and they were quite excited (little do they know that they will have to pay for these ones :D )
LOL about man in cafe, Rosekitten... he maybe thought you fancied him, never mind his muffin case!!
  • I make all my own cases now in different papers, and they are really nice and I like the fact that they are individual. :j

I am annoyed that my cherry cases came in a jiffy envelope and not a box as other peoples did when they were purchased from the same seller.

They have arrived!!! In a box (sorry princesspp) here is the first result:

    100_1868.jpg

The cello bags came as well, the one with flowers and butterflies on but they are tiny... cupcake doesn't fit, even just the flannel on its own won't go in.
I will use them for something else, they are very lovely..

They';re really lovely mumoftwo............can't wait to get some fluffier flannels and have a go. My flannels are a bit on the flat side. Tried our local chemist this morning and they had nothing exciting at all so looks like a 20 mile trip......................lol
But I am visiting my Mum before the end of the month so might get better choice of stuff there.

Those are just fantastic! Lucky you getting them in a box.... I always get the raw end of the deal...

I love the colours of the flannels they go so well with the cases :T

Its a shame about your cello bags, you could use them to put some bath salts in maybe, and do a flannel cake and bath salts gift bag??? Just an idea.

  • Hey mumoftwo, just had another idea after seeing your cake wrapper idea... which looks lovely btw. How about using some pretty tissue and cello wrap done exactly how you have done with the tracing paper, then tying with a ribbon.
Another variation, could be using a square of magazine as the case, think this would be lovely for a teenagers gift.

Ooo Im soo dizzy with all the craft stuff Im doing....

Just made an adorable baby bootie with some of my handmade paper and Im so proud!
