They certainly do mumoftwo, even the cupcakes in the supermarkets are fabulous, not the little flat things we get here

Everything is decorated so well and really cheap too.... :D

I know they look good must
see if there is a shop selling
similar here It think cake decorating
    shops and wedding shops would
    be a good start.

I also noticed some muffin cases
in dark green check on abay and
    was tempted,then remembered I
had seen them somewhere,it was in
a coffee shop in town and they had
    pannini in them.

They look like ours in size on the pic
until you read the measurements they are a
smaller diameter, more tube like and you
wouldent be able to fit a flannel in one.
So look out for these in case your temptedsse
the listing is a bit misleading.

  • An Ebay seller has this listing

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Over-1200-x-Disposable-Paper-Baking-Cake-Muffin-Cups_W0QQitemZ170184214519QQihZ007QQcategoryZ57211QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Cups work out at approx 3p each with postage.
Ideal if you have people you can buy with and split or if you are wanting to make a big batch of flannel cakes for a Summer sale etc. Although you would have to have a lot of space to store 1200!!!

Right, it doesn't look my cellobag, cupcake cases or cellophane are coming today so I am off to the big craftshop (half hour drive) and on my way back I will pop in a partyware shop to see what they have.. I better make some money of these now, as I am obsessed with them all. and am putting so much time in finding stuff, loving it though.

Even folded neopolitan cloths this morning.(Rosekitten's idea).. Looking good. Choc/Strawberry/Vanilla, just need something to put it in,, and no, I am not ordering anymore cases!!!

Sorry princess, the :T :T :T goes to you, I sincerely apologise!!

Gues what I found this afternoon? I just popped into a little florist and saw on the shelf a vase with dusty fake fruit in it and yes, you have guessed it, some strawberries!! They were very dusty and forgotten about I think, the woman had to phone her boss to ask how much they were, 20p each, she only had 5 but I was so chuffed.
  • Well done mumoftwo good find.

Ive now perfected my own muffin cups.

I carefully took one of my cherry cases apart and drew round the flattened out case and bottom bits. I drew using fine pencil strokes onto some beautiful green handmade paper I have and then cut it out and glued it together. The result is so lovely.

Im sorry but I cant post a pic cos my camera is broken.

Ive now made my own template out of thick card and im going to make some cups up using gift wrap and backing papers I have for my card making.

Im also going to do some out of plain card and decorate them with beads and ribbon.

Im soooo pleased with the result. :j

Well done, that sounds so nice, especially with the personal touches.. Long live the muffins and flannels!! :T :T
  • O I really wish I could post a pic of the finished thing!!!

Ive put a cream flannel in the green handmade paper cup then popped in a cello bag tied with a length of cream ribbon and made into a bow, then ive used thick brown paper and made a little gift tag and attached it to the top of the bag with a mini wooden peg... :j
