not sure what kind of retro sweet box your after,
but i did my OH a sweet mix hamper thing last christmas and i bought a little fishing tackle box like this
they dont cost much at all.. think mine was only 99p and it had 8 or 10 sections, so i filled them all with different sweets and tied it up with a big ribbon, he LOVED it (and now all the sweets are gone we have a tackle box to keep our little crafting bits in!)0 -
Curious George - thank you, that was exactly what I was after; however, I have just returned from Poundland with 4 pink ones! Perfect!!!!0

Would a hat, scarf & gloves make a 'cake' do you think? I'm wondering about getting some when they're reduced in the sales to do for next year, so just musing on ideas at the mo

dont have a scarf set to try this out
so i will describe this as best as poss
what about this,say for example
the hat has a bobble on,use that for
the centre then wrap the gloves round
fingers pointing up,then fold the scarf in
half long ways, wrap this round the gloves
slightly raising the centre. It should look like
a large muffin and the bobble should be sitting
proud on the top surrounded by the fingers
og the gloves giving a leaf/petal effect.use a paper
cake frill, wide ribbon or cardbaord around the
edge.

ive finally found some dark brown flannels (morrisons 4 for 89p) i have soap and pom poms for the nose... but no brown pipe cleaners, where do you all get yours from? do you think i could get away with other colours? also where do you get the goggly eyes?
and..... just incase i cant figure it out, does anyone have any idea what page the instructions are on?
sorry for all the questions.... i want the moon on a stick!
Hi, I got mine from ebay..this a link for the brown pipe cleaners, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50-Brown-Chenille-craft-stems-Pipe-cleaners_W0QQitemZ260315927514QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_Children_s_Crafts_EH?hash=item260315927514&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
There are lots of googly eyes on ebay, the first ones I bought were 7mm size & way too small! So I bought some more which were 16mm & they're much better! I've got a bit addicted to reindeer making but everywhere here has run out of brown flannels!0 -
