  • Hi, I have used poundland flannels (pink and white) in the strawberry cup cases and they are fine, but it did take a number of attempts before I got it right. If you are using good quality flannels I can see how two would not fit. One looks great as well though, and what about a nice think flannel and a pair of socks?

Hi I have been a lurker for a while and have nothing but praise for everyone on here and there wonderful cupcakes etc but must ask

How do you manage to get your doubles to fit the cases?
I bought my flannels from Wilkinsons and my muffin cases from the recommended seller on ebay but still can't get them to fit. I even tried ironing the flannels to make them slightly thinner and that didn't work!

    Hi Shooter,

I did a tutorial on how was best to fold the flannels etc to do a double cake, the tutorial is on the first page. I always use the flannels from wilkinsons, however the one I did the other day for a Mc Millan coffee morning was using Asda flannels which are thicker and I managed to rip a couple of cases. Not sure how I manage to do it yet others can't ... but on the same note everyone does fantastic single muffins and I can't for the life of me get them to look nice :(

Below is a pic of the brown cases next to the
patterned ones as you can see there is quite
a difference in size. The Brown one takes two
flannels or a pair of fluffy bed socks really easily
But the smaller strawberry one will only take one
flannel. It depends what you want to put in them
    as to which is best.

Just wondering if anyone would like to swap some brown muffin cases for a different style? I have 19 left and no chance that I will use all of these but I was thinking about buying some different ones. Thought I would ask on here first incase anyone just wants a few brown ones in exchange.
    Thanks
