  • :T That's lovely Cookiedough, what size are the cello bags if you don't mind me asking? I ordered some off E bay the other day but they weren't big enough, probably should have checked if they were gussetted. I just have a load of bags now to use for something else ;)
  • Crystal - I am pretty sure it was these that I bought http://www.flowerhour.co.uk/Clear-Cellophane-Display-Bags-3-x-4-5-x-7-_A3VA2.aspx

Same happened to me! I've used some for splitting up a huge pack of tealight candles from Ikea into little sets to pop into lots of presents. Tied with ribbon, it looks like they have been bought that way!

thanks to got-it-spend-it for pointing out the
size difference I have put in the size difference
to give everyone a better idea.Because I never
realised until the brown ones arrived that there
was such a big difference in size.I had previously
been trying to squash a pair of socks in the
strawberry one and wondering why I was getting
nowhere with it and yet others were managing to
    make thiers fit.

Just to give you an idea of these in terms of size

the strawberry one on the left is 5cm diameter
at the base , 7cm diameter accross the top and
6cm tall, this type is perfect for flannel cakes
    when you use one flannel

The brown one on the right is 7cm diameter
at the base , 9cm diameter accross the top
and 7cm tall.these are perfect for flannel cakes
using two different coloured flannels or for a
pair of adult sized fluffy socks.I reckon you could
use a pair of adults sports sock or two or
three pairs of lighter weight adult sized socks

If anyone wants to make a fluffy sock cake and is wondering which ones will fit:

Asda do a pack of 2 fluffy socks (one baby pink and the other baby blue and with a slight glittery tinge to them) for £3, and one pair fits very nicely into the larger cases above.

Also, for flannels, using the Asda 45p ones:

You can get one little cake in a large case, or a 'well risen' cake with two of them. Personally, I think one flannel looks too small so you'd have to plump it up somehow, or maybe put something underneath it.

Hth someone - I was worried about buying things and then finding they wouldn't work so dithered for ages!
