Personally I'm really happy with Chip - I've put aside about £7k (on top of other savings) over the last couple of years which I wouldn't have done otherwise.  I find it easy to use and pretty intuitive as apps go.

..., and how can 2 apps of the same provider be on 1 phone ?

I was writing a reply just now, but when I switched back to mse the post disappeared. Mse forum doesn't save draft so I have to rewrite.
I'll keep it short, just in case it happens again.
There are Three ways to do it.
Your phone may already have a setting, as it says here:
    https://www.makeuseof.com/run-two-copies-of-app-android/amp/

My one plus phone (same phone used in article above) has the parallel apps setting. However only has three apps listed within it. Skype, Facebook messenger, and quora.

2nd option is to use third party app like 'parallel space'
Not used it so can't vouch for it

3rd option is to create a user account on your phone for your wife as it talks about here:

Link for 3rd option in previous Post:

P.s. when I click 'edit' post in the previous Post, the whole post comes up as one block quote. Get the feeling The old forum was more solid.

I've had a Chip+1 account for some time now and am on the free plan, so am getting the 1.25 percent bonus on up to £2k.
I'm considering 'upgrading' to the Chip AI plan in order to qualify for the 1.25 percent bonus on up to £10k.
My question is... where does the £1.50 fee (every 4 weeks) for Chip AI come from? Does it get taken from your linked current account, or does it get taken from your existing Chip balance?
Currently I have Chip linked to a current account which has a zero balance - but obviously that would be an issue if I upgraded to Chip AI and Chip then tried to take the fee from there!

    Many thanks!

It's taken from your linked bank account

I can't help but think that the 'problems' that people are reporting with Chip are user error. The MSE notes in the listings are quite comprehensive, and really helpful.

Chip+1 is the first savings app I've used, and setup has been simple. Any questions that I've asked the Chip team have been answered swiftly too.

If you upgrade, you'll also be able to use the autosave feature - but that too will need you to have a balance in the linked account.

i opens a chip+ account, spend time familiarising myself with how it works etc, as do all my investments,   eventually closed it.   it took a while to get my money out, wasn’t impressed with service.  will choose to manual save as before.  not worth the hassle.

When I used Chip properly 2 years ago, the support was quick in comparison to the likes of revolut or Curve card. However, remember receiving some vague answers such as 'it will be fixed 'as soon as possible. It was easier getting blood from a stone than getting a straight answer from them.

A nice little bonus for me from Chip. I got a free £25 prize a while back too.

    We're giving you £15!

    You've qualified.

We're delighted to tell you that you've qualified for our special offer to get £15 for depositing into your Chip+1 account last week!

Hi Quirky, your savings journey starts here.

The £15 will be paid as a bonus into your Chip account in two months' time (between 18 and 30 July 2021), provided you still have a positive balance in Chip+1 on that date.

Recevied above email to say I've qualified. What they don't tell you is that if you do start saving again you will also qualify for the monthly fee of £1.50 (which is sneakily debited from your linked account- without any word or warning or record of it on the Chip App)

I deposit £1 to qualify. Saw it on my linked account (on 20 May). On 28 May I see £1.50 debited from linked account. Left scratching my head. Check Chip app. No record of it. Then I come on MSE and find this thread.

yep, it must be my fault for not reading the terms and conditions of the account (not just the terms and conditions of the prize draw).  ;)
