in N. Ireland
Just got email from Tredz bike shop for their January sale and thought I'd buy a new lock to find out they no longer deliver to N. Ireland. This is only one online shop anyone else had this experience?

I haven't been online shopping, but have heard of acquaintances who cannot get deliveries from Marks and Spencers, Dunelm and others, because of living in NI. This was all well thought-out ...not

This is a fundamental problem which has been highlighted by the consumer council and I think I saw one report which asked anyone to get in touch with them in respect of specific instances where delivery was no longer available to NI, as they were compiling data on this.
it’s not referenced in the below link but might have been in the Belfast Telegraph report, which frustratingly, is behind a paywall.

I know DPD the couriers have stopped deliveries to N.I. from the 23d Dec on a temporary basis. Amazon have said some items will no no be available to us. But that has always been the case ,eBay also had a number of business sellers who did not ship to N.I.

I imagine a lot of smaller business (and even the larger ones) who only sold to the EU because they didn't want to waste time on paperwork for the RoW will now stop dealing with the EU (including NI) for the same reason.
There is nothing anybody can do about that.

I tried to order a couple of plastic spouting brackets on line from England yesterday, which came to the total of £4.50. The next step was delivery, with a quote of £70, and no other option. Another website charged delivery of £3, although the price of goods was a wee bit higher.
Our weird status might be the problem, or maybe they mixed us up with North Island, New Zealand.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -
