@RobM99 only thoughts 100% mate. Have the awareness to know how !!!!!! stupid those thoughts are as well as thoughts being thoughts that go eventually or quicker with distraction key being to not let my guard down and stay out of situations. Had to cover some of my staff's work today due to sickness so that took my mind off it for a bit. Tonight I'm completely whacked so going to try the early night I think.
@maman I think low alcohol days are a win where previously wouldn't be the case. Tbh in some ways I count days I've enjoyed a couple of drinks, had a nice evening but happy to not bother he next day as a bigger win than abstinence.6 -
I didn't get a chance to log on yesterday, but was AF then and today, so 10/25 for me today please.
I realise how lucky I am after talking to a lady today who hasn't been paid since March, and now has been told she has been made redundant - but hasn't received any redundancy money either. Thieving scummy business-owner has used all the staff wages and redundancy money elsewhere and disappeared. I suggested she contact the media, as she hasn't had any help anywhere. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?6 -
@satchmo1 that's awful. Not the first time I've come across such a tale unfortunately. Someone I employed a few years back had a similar thing happen to him although over a much quicker time scale, there was also an issue with the company having not made pension contributions.
Horrible story in the news today about a little boy who died from neglect of a rental property with the landlord culpable for a lack of management and maintenance being a contributory factor in that poor boy's death. Social housing provider in this case but judging by the photos I've seen similar places in the private sector and as a landlord myself it really saddens me and I see no excuse for it whether private or social housing.

Two more days to report here so 6/14. Possibly a smilie in my future tomorrow. Much more exciting than a simile.

Hi all, 15/27 here. I think it's 298 AFD's this year by my rough calculation. Could be twaddle though.
No gig this week - pub has stopped live music - again. A succession of owners can't make it work. Ih well, football it is!Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!4 -
