Tarn2021 said:Zero again for me. My history has gone:
- Drink socially, whenever - being young
- Drink with my partner - fun
- Drink because my partner cheated and then left me - not fun
- Drink to forget and deal with debt - help me
And i'm stuck on that last part, despite taking steps to sort my debt in the past couple of weeks.
Weirdly, in the past i have simply just stopped, for weeks at a time....before Covid. But after a year in literal isolation where it's just been me to interact with...i just can't see the good in that.
I had a rough few months last year when I was made redundant and the lovely people on here helped me through so do try and keep posting.5 -

Up to 9 days!
I drank yesterday. But I'm not feeling bad about it. Okay, so it means that I made it to 13 days without drinking and I have to reset that, but I'm still not sure if my ultimate aim was to stop completely.
I can feel it a little bit today, but not to stop me going out and enjoying my Saturday. I will continue my aim to not drink during the week and clock up as many AF days as I can.
Just to be accountable, I did drink more than I should have yesterday, but I wasn't out of control or anything like that, and I was thinking and aware of what I was drinking. What it did show me that, even if the intention was only to drink a bottle of wine (and I get that some people would go "only!"), if there's more to drink, I will.
I drank a mini bottle of prosecco that my friend gave me cos she doesn't drink prosecco, so one glass.
A bottle of wine
Then, because it wasn't bedtime and I was playing chess with my 10 year old, a quadruple vodka and lemonade.
Quite a lot really. But it didn't feel like loads while drinking it.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Evening everyone
Weird dream last night, I dreamed that I drank alcohol and woke up with my brain full of sludge and feeling disappointed with myself.
Then I woke up and realised it was just a dream and I hadn't been drinking.
11/30 please Cathybird

Good morning. Can't remember the last time I was up at this time on a Sunday. Drank Tue, Wed and Thu with DH following the usual pattern of refusal being ignored and giving in to cravings. But just had day 5 and 6 off while DH was away. Also haven't smoked since Friday lunchtime. Removed it all from the house.
Can't say it was easy. Especially once the kids were in bed. Just kept eating and snacking constantly. And was so close to sneaking to the shops...
DH video called half drunk from his friend's house yesterday and let's just say I was not jaleaous of him then.
Now I have to admit drinking on the weekend has "it's purpose" of nicely masking the dread for the next week. So at the moment rather anxious on how to cope but it will get better.

(Slightly late) Morning each! A football day yesterday but no alc' again. Mind you, after watching that lot attempting to defend, it would have been understandable! But here we are, 12/29 and 160 in a row.Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!5
