Very insightful Pollyanna and Thriftylass. I can identify with everything you’ve said.
It’s making me question myself too.

    Thank you.

  • I've been doing some reflecting. I drink to take the edge off or get drunk. I'm an introvert and can't take too much company and feel held back by people being around me all the time. Which is what I get with a family 🙄 so drinking masks my feelings and gives me an excuse why I haven't got done what I planned to to. Obviously never compromising the safety of the kids or pets. And it's a reward after a long day, wind down and the usual. Obviously bit more to that but that won't bore you with all my thoughts.

My drinking is a reward at the end of a day, for enjoyment and as association I.e sunny day, event, social gatherings etc.

Well, today is sorted as I'm stuck home with kids again. Hubby went to visit his dad. So declaring day 3, yay!

4/25 for today. I start with drinking because I love the taste of wine, but then carry on because of habit. Has anyone noticed that the specific aspects of the taste of any wine fades after the second glass?
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Evening everyone,
Another day safely cleared and now on 4/30
I've overdone the sugar today, left over fruit crumble and some birthday  cake,  still not as many calories as my usual bottle of white wine.
    Loops x
I used to be broke now I'm just skint
