Well here's one new idea you can keep. 😂. Snow. 😱. Hopefully it's just a silly winters shower. Winters last hurrah. 😁
hope it doesn't kill off my magnolia blossoms. First year it has flowered.#lettheheatwavebegin.....8 -
LL I hope your magnolia blossoms survive the snow. I am thankful that the weather is still like spring time in London.6

It was snowing/sleet here today and yesterday in east London. Just for a few minutes each time!6

Hope your magnolia blossoms are ok, LL! It's been snowing/sleeting between bursts of sunshine here since first thing this morning. We have two magnolias currently (with plans for a soulangeana once we've removed more laurels) - the stellata has just begun flowering whilst the Susan flowers later. I'm sure the stellata (about five years old) has made it through snow with blossoms in tact before.....
A very productive weekend was had here - DH made massive progress with building the oak steps/boundary 'wall' to the currently sloping bed that we are in the process of levelling/lowering....but way more oak sleepers will be required 🙄 Just getting half the huge rocks moved and the ground elder dug out was a big champagne moment! Instead of buying expensive new top soil we've managed to sieve the old stuff to what I believe is termed "a fine tilth" lol and reused it....saving £££ 😁
During the warm sunshine on Saturday and Sunday I planted some of the more hardy plants we bought on Friday and yesterday - a chilly wind but still sunny - was spent moving the smaller of the rocks to their new home.
The Aldi rib of beef was deferred to Monday in the end and was delish! A few chocs and hot x buns were also consumed during the course of the weekend 😉Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

LL your Grandson is gorgeous!Snow here too. First week of my school holidays. Already done loads of clearing out/charity donations. Lots of work completed in the garden too. I fancied an Egg chair from Aldi, but no luck in getting one. Next job is skip hire next week and clearing 32 years of clutter from the loft!A very chilly minus 4 here this morning, hoping it warms up.My Daughter was here at the weekend. I cooked a leg of lamb for a roast lamb dinner, I used some for a lamb curry mon/tue. There is lots left on the bone which I am going to stew in the pan with potatoes, onion and carrotts!6
