Good morning my lovely friends.Fab mural Phoebe and your husband really looks the part as Captain Hook, so realistic, no wonder the children were taken aback,
SFT. You are right about lighting the photos. That is something I'm struggling with. Thanks for the tip about lamps. I have a couple of angle poise lamps so I could try directing those. I also have my sons professional foil umbrella thingy. I can get him to show me how to use it, maybe a large mirror too. I couldn't sleep last night, kept mulling over ideas. 😂
Change of plan today, one of the babies has a bug so they won't be coming over. It's forecast to be a nice day, so I'll have a gardening day instead.Champagne moment this morning........lost 2lbs. 💃. Finally. Despite my best efforts I seemed to have been stuck on a plateau for weeks but today the scales have said otherwise. 🤞. Ive got a long way to go but it's a start.Onwards and downwards.....9 -
Meant to say........
I am so fed up with my hair. Luckily I have an appt for Friday 16th April. I have decided to go for a version of Vickie McClure's crop......(Line of Duty). It's a fabulous sharp precision cut, similar to how I used to wear my hair in days gone by. Just hope it's still thick enough to carry it off. I have been wearing it in a bob for the last couple of years but I feel like I need a radical change, it doesn't really suit me anyway. A bob looks fabulous on some people, on me it just looks boring. And of course now it has no shape whatsoever. My hair just hangs there.......At the moment I feel more like Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future. Whispy straggling white locks are not a good look on me, 😂🤣
I am determined to change my image so I'm going sharpen up my wardrobe this year too. Have a big clear out and get rid of anything frumpy, unflattering or past it's sell by date. Time to be chic and sophisticated. If I'm going to be sensational at 70 then I need to up my game. 😂🤣.Change of plan again......DIL just on phone in floods of tears......they are coming over. Bless her, she's so stressed. .......lockdown and trying to work from home with two babies cant be easy.8 -

Good Morning my lovely friends. Are you ready for the sun.I'm soooooo excited. Yesterday afternoon was lovely, although a bit of a breeze, but today the breeze has dropped and it's hotting up. 🌞🌞. I've already been for a short walk, it was lovely. So today will be a mix of gardening and lazy champagne moments lazing in the sun. Meals al fresco, my sun lounger and a book.Have a great day y'all. Do take time out to enjoy the glorious weather if you can, it's only here for a few days. We so deserve it after a long covid winter. 🥂.8

Thank you for your kind comments on the old pics, ladies 😄
The weather over the weekend and yesterday was pants here. Today is a huge improvement but not quite as blue skies/wall-to-wall sunshine as forecast so far. Nevertheless, it's lovely and warm so I'll also be making the most of it as here in Wales you never know when the next lot of rain will land...you've got to grab your champagne moments while you can!
So, over the weekend I planted approximately a third of the new bulbs (in pots for now as the ground isn't ready), I baked some lemon curd fairy cakes (see pics!) and we took advantage of the lifting of stay local restrictions by going to a garden centre, although as this was just for a recce for ideas for the white bed we came away empty handed. I've some more ideas/plants to research now though.
Those weren't the only champagne moments - there were some foodie treats from a recent M&S foodhall shop including very good steak with homemade sauté potatoes, DH getting more plastering done upstairs, watching a couple of episodes of The Undoing and curling up by the wood burner with some *bent coppers*, lol!
Also, just thinking about the amount of money we've saved over the years because DH is able to do stuff like plastering 😉
Another champagne moment was reading that our nearest market town (Llandeilo, two miles away and the surrounding villages - that's us!) had been voted one of the best places to live in the UK by the Sunday Times 😀 Two other places we used to live also featured in the list.
Yesterday's champagne moment was taking delivery of some oak sleepers for the Easter gardening project. By electing to buy the most weathered/knocked about ones we got them for half price, saving just under £170....whoop!
Right, it's getting sunnier so back to my book/lunch! Don't get too sunburned 😆

What glorious sunshine we had here in London and in Andover. I went to visit my older daughter, my son-in-law, my grandson, his partner and my Great grandson.
It was such a lovely celebration of my grandson's partner's 20th birthday.
My Great grandson has changed so much in only 7 weeks

Positive thought for today:
Accept the things you cannot change and make positive changes to the things you can. You'll find you have the power to change more than you expect (Katie Piper)4 -
Yesterday was such a lovely day for me. I made an effort and painted my toenails with a cerise pink nail polish and my fingernails with a clear polish. I put black mascara on and a little stroke of gold eyeliner in the inner corners of my eyelid. I layered my perfume with the matching body lotion, body powder and shower gel.
The sun was shining so I was able to wear a new pair of my Van Dal black patent leather sandals and my pink framed Calvin Klein sunglasses.

Beautiful pics of you both, sugarbaby 😄 Sounds as though you had a lovely day with your family 😊
It's another sunny, warm day here so having a lazy-ish time just doing a few gardening jobs interspersed with sunning myself. One of our dogs has decided that the egg chair is hers - whilst the other hasn't shown the remotest interest - luckily it can fit us both, lol!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
