Glamourous Great granny. 🥂. Baby growing fast.Well hello my lovely friends,
like Phoebe I have spent the last two days in the garden, working then resting, rinse and repeat, just pacing myself. Lovely to be in the sunshine, even my aches and pains seem easier when it's warm and sunny, shame it will be more wintry for Easter but at least we've had a foretaste of summer.Oops gotta dash......someone at the door......have a lovely evening. ❤️7 -
Thanks LL. Yes Shylo is growing fast. He looked so cute in his baby chinos and Ralph Lauren long sleeved t-shirt.6

Champagne moment.......My DIL getting me on an April Fool. She sent me a picture of a positive pregnancy test.!!! Seeing as the baby is only 5 months old I Nearly had a heart attack. Laughed my socks off when the penny dropped. 😂
well I've been to Aldi.....bought some goodies for the weekend. Forgot Easter eggs. Can get them later.Killer backache again so just resting for a bit then I'm going to do some tidying up. Actually everywhere is pretty much ok, nice and ship shape ready for Easter so I can take my time and just potter about.6 -
LL that was a really good April's Fool.
Oh the relief when you realised it was a joke
I hope your backache eases soon.
I am looking forward to the arrival of my son today, he is coming home for a weekI too have got my home in order and done all of the cleaning. I changed the bedding yesterday and washed and dried the bedding I took off the 2 beds. I have laid out clean bedding for my son, he will make his bed later.

Ugh. Cold tea. Naughty man. Hope he made you a fresh one to compensate. 😂Well I have had a very productive morning. As well as going to Aldi I have had a money sort out. Checked my shares. Wahoo. Nice little champagne moment. 😉. Was going to cash some in, but on a whim I decided I would try one of my credit card providers and see If I could get a 0% deal instead. Wahoo again. 😂. So feeling dead chuffed. I get to keep my cake and eat it too. I will be able to afford to pay off the credit card when the "free money" period comes to an end. In the meantime I benefit from a rising stock market. Just need to keep monitoring the shares, make sure they keep going in the right direction. So it's hold for now, steady as she goes.
My other small wins, were a delivery of pair of bargainous smart wool trousers from eBay, (£2.50). I have decided to wean myself off jeans, except for dead casual knocking about and aim to be a bit more elegant. Stylish at Seventy. 😂🤣.
I also got a nice business book from Amazon. Seeing as I'm ahead of myself with the Easter Preparations, I'm going to start it this afternoon. A nice simple dinner tonight.SUgarbaby....it's nice to be organised and not rushing at the last minute. In days gone by I would have been running around like a headless chicken trying to get ready for the bank holiday, but these days I seem to just breeze through it all. I think decluttering has really helped me stay on top of things more easily. Although I've still got a way to go. After the holiday, when the chazzers and the auction houses are open, I'll have another go.The big one is the shed, but I've spoken to a neighbour and told him he can have all the spare wood in there, so once he's taken that I can make a start. It's a huge shed and full to the gunnels. The plan is to transfer what I need to keep to a second smaller shed and the big shed can then be tarted up and become a play house for the grandchildren, it will make a fabulous "den". I also want to have a nice little summerhouse but that might have to wait until next year. I'll get there.9 -

Good morning my lovely friends....
Not much news since yesterday. Spent the afternoon reading, then decided to nip to Asda to get the Easter eggs I had forgotten to get from Aldi. We are all quite health conscious these days and don't indulge in chocolate as much as we used to do, so instead of eggs which people tend to demolish rather quickly I bought some nice posh chocolates which can be savoured more slowly.Read my new book, it was supposed to be about marketing. I don't like to sound like a know it all but I didn't really learn anything new so it was a bit of a waste of money really. 😂. Hey ho. However it did spur me on to jot down all my ideas in one place in a notebook for easy referral when I'm stuck. I hit upon the idea of consulting a thesaurus so I now have a list of adjectives to be able to write interesting content so I can really "sell" my wares without having to repeat myself too much and have the descriptions sound a bit "samey".Going to tackle some wardrobe sorting today. The top bedroom is looking a tad messy again. Hopefully I can start the decluttering process properly once the chazzers are open again, I've got loads to donate. I have a lovely neighbour who has been really helpful and who always refuses point blank to accept any form of payment. He is aiming to start doing car boot sales so as a thank you for all his assistance I might see if he would like some of it as stock.Anyway....better get cracking.Happy Easter Everyone. Hope you all have a lovely weekend with lots of champagne moments.7 -
Sounds like you're being very proactive with the sorting/clearing, LL! That's a lovely idea to give excess stuff to your carbooting neighbour 😀
Sugarbaby - enjoy your week pampering your son!
Well, it's another gorgeous day here after yesterday's clouds/cool weather. We had a lazy start with hot x buns (although neither of us were terribly impressed with the Aldi ones which we usually like), before heading out for a cross country drive across Carmarthenshire to one of our favourite plant nurseries. I had a list of items I was hoping to get - mainly for the *white bed* but as is always the case, they didn't have some stuff but other things caught our eye 🙄
In the end we came away with a mix of shrubs for the *architectural* part of the garden, a few low growing conifers, some yews, hostas, libertias and white digitalis (Pam's Choice in memory of my late mum). Total spend was just within our intended budget of £300, which for 34 large and healthy plants wasn't too bad!
It's going to be a busy few days planting them up 😎
Last night I had a long chat with DS 😍 who we haven't seen since Christmas. He's just started a new job, his partner has had a promotion and pay rise and DGD (33 months) is about to start doing an extra day each week at nursery. They are feeling happier now that lockdown is easing and were delighted with the Easter treats we sent them (chocs etc for the adults, a new Tonie and some Little Friends figures for DGD) 😆
Just popping to M&S - or as DGD calls it "Marks and 'Spensive", lol!!! - to find some better hot x buns......
Have a super Easter weekend everyone and hope the weather stays good wherever you are!
My old but still pretty Easter tree.....Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
