Positive thought for today:
Put as much care into the small things you do as into the big things in your life and you will learn to appreciate everything and everyone around you (Katie Piper)6 -
TBH. Sugarbaby. I’m currently in an ocean of pain. Fibro, arthritis, lower backache. It would be easier to say which muscles and bones don’t ache.So.....I’ve really not done much at all. Even typing hurts 😂🤣.It will pass. A combination of rest, tai chi, Epsom salt baths. What I really need is a couple of good massages. Hopefully soon.7

LL I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. Sending a virtual hug to you.
Sometimes it just comes out of nowhere seemingly. You are doing everything you can to help yourself. It is a shame about the massages, as I know they really work for you. We all have to be patient, we are in the home stretch and in a few months time all of the personal care services will be available to us all again, if all goes to plan with the Roadmap for lifting restrictions.
I had to take 5 days of rest from doing my exercises because everywhere hurt. I think I was pushing my body too hard after living a very sedentary life. I have started exercising again, but I am taking it a bit easier and making sure I do a longer cool down session.5 -
Sorry about the pain LL. I just sent you a PM as I have been getting fibro symptoms again too and I'm wondering if it is from the Covid jab as the same thing has happened to someone I know online in the US.
It's a good idea not to push yourself too hard Sugarbaby.
I just went for a walk to get some exercise and daylight. It does feel nice to have warmer temperatures and brighter days.
It wasn't a champagne moment as the bank called me while I was walking to say there has been fraud on my bank account card. Luckily they flagged the charges up right away and cancelled my card. They are sending me a new one.
I'm thinking about going swimming when things open up later this year as that is a gentle type of exercise. I haven't been in years but did used to enjoy going when I was younger.

Thank you ladies. I'm sure it will ease off, all in good time. Just about to go for a short walk, it's bright and sunny but with a very cold wind. I won't overdo it and try and be clever, just nip to the local shop and a walk round the block.SUgarbaby. I think It's a balancing act between resting and keeping moving. It's easy to get a bit too enthusiastic and overdo the exercise. You're right to build up slowly.I'm not sure what triggered this attack, might be the covid jab but Also it might have been too much wheat. I can only tolerate very small amounts, say once a week and I think I e overdone it. It's so easy to slip back isn't it. I also got a bit behind with vitamins and supplements. Anyway I am now back on pure paleo, absolutely zero grains, no alcohol, chocolate etc and have started taking my supplements every day.Just need to be patient and I'm sure I'll be ok soon. You're right - we are on the home stretch now. I still consider myself very fortunate that both myself and my family have got through this awful year so lightly. There are worse things in life than fibro and arthritis. A few simple self help measures, some nice warm sun and then a few massages when lockdown eases and I'll be fine.I have just purchased a mannequin and am ready to start photographing garments, ready to launch after our little holiday. Although I'm due my second covid jab two days after the holiday so I might need to wait a couple of weeks before I can really get cracking. No problem, I'm in no great rush.I had intended cutting the grass today.....I will give it a miss. Another few days won't matter. 😂6

Sorry to hear that, LL🙁 Like Sugarbaby I was assuming your absence was due to your business plans. Hopefully resting yourself thoroughly will help and it will all be cleared up by the time of your cottage holiday!
Glad to hear your bank were on the ball wrt the card fraud, Wednesday!!! Swimming sounds wonderful right now....at times like this I really miss our hot tub, which I'd often just laze in with a good book and the jets off....
It definitely feels as though better times are waiting just around the corner - a combination of hopefulness regarding the lifting of restrictions and Spring's imminent arrival. The clocks go forward soon so that will help too 😊
I've been potting up new hyacinths today - yellow ones which is another first for me. DH found them at the DIY store when he was picking up more timber for battening a wall that unexpectedly needs attention 🙄
Just had a lovely sunny al fresco lunch browsing some garden magazines and - if I can tear myself away from the egg chair, lol! - I'm about to start planting some more Sarah Bernhardt peonies.
Stay positive everyone!

My younger son came with his laundry yesterday and stayed for a few hours. The 3 of us played 2 music games which was so much fun. Normally I would leave the 2 of them to it, as they are very knowledgeable about music lyrics, song titles and the artistes whereas do not know enough about modern music in any genre. We laughed so much together that I was so glad that I decided to participate.
My son is coming home for Easter, which means that I am really looking forward to having him home.
I did my warm up yesterday, had a short rest and a drink of water and as I tried to stand up to do the cool down stretches, I had an explosive pain in my right knee.I could not stand up. I had to rest with my legs up. I put some Ibuprofen gel on the knee and took 4 painkillers. This morning my knee is still painful and I have my breast screening appointment today which I can not afford to postpone, so I will just have to manage.

There are no deadlines for healing yourself; keep looking forward and appreciate each and every milestone along the way (Katie Piper)5 -
The hot tub sounds amazing Phoebe.
I hope your appointment goes well Sugarbaby.
I'm feeling much more rested as I had almost 12 hours in bed last night. I obviously needed the sleep and I'm going to get an early night more often.
I woke up hungry and I'm making jacket potatoes and baked beans for breakfast.I want to go out to Coop and get some fresh bread for the homemade lentil soup I made this week. It's bright and sunny again. It feels so gorgeous after the winter. Lockdown + winter was not a good combination.
At least it is nearly April when things start opening up again. I can't wait to get my hair cut next month. I cut it myself last lockdown but thought I would just wait this time. I have been using up some beauty products today as well, a hydrating face mask and a hair treatment.
