My Champagne moment yesterday evening was going to Black Cultural Archives in Brixton for Poetic Unity's Open Mic evening. It was a really engaging, lively evening, as there were at least 14 poets performing. We had such an mix of poets, both young and old and of various nationalities. We could only perform one poem each and I chose to perform my poem: Hop To It Naw Man, which is a poem I wrote for my grandson. It had everyone laughing, which is the am of the poem.
I got a compliment from a random man on my way to the event, he said 'me like you outfit' I just smiled in his general direction and continued walking as I was running late.10 -
My Champagne moments today:
I went to the discussion group at Blackfriars Settlement. 2 of the participants did a role play about being assertive with an obstructive council call centre worker.
I spent another £7.50 worth of Nectar points in a local Sainsburys.7 -

My Champagne moment yesterday evening was going to The Young Vic with other members of the Neighbourhood Voices group to see Oklahoma. We were all given free tickets.
It was such a wonderful production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. The group was spread around the theatre but I was fortunate enough to be seated next to one of the other women in the group, Meryl and her daughter. Meryl and I enjoyed ourselves no end, as we laughed, sang and danced in our seats as the story unfolded.Meryl's 15 year old daughter was not impressed by her mother's overt enthusiasm and she kept trying to shush her mother, but this did not dampen Meryl's enjoyment or her enthusiasm.

My champagne moment this morning is waking to see the house martins are back! They are swooping around. they make a next in our porch every year. The only downside is the mess they make just outside the front and the back door!Debt free and Keeping on Track6

My champagne moment was yesterday afternoon- my daughter took me to see Singin in the Rain at No6 independent cinema in Portsmouth dockyard. It was my belated Mothers Day treat and there was a lovely glass of fizz and nibbles beforehand included in the ticket. I have loved the film since I was young but only ever seen it on the tv. To see it in all its 70 year old glory on a big screen was marvellous. Gene Kelly danced divinely as did the whole cast and such fabulous songs. A wonderful time was had.

It seems like you all have been having a lovely time lately.
My champagne moment was definitely moving into my house by the sea finally after 9 long months of waiting!!!
I feel very settled in already. It feels very familar here as it is similar to my old house. I have a lot of birds in my new garden as I think people must have bird feeders around here. I even saw squirrels run along my fence although they may be less inclined when my dog ran out to bark at them. Same goes for the two cats that have visited my garden so far, haha.
I am just waiting to hang up some laundry and then going out to buy a few bits at the supermarket for breakfast. I need some fresh food as we have had a couple of takeaways since we moved in and I need something less stodgy.
I hope everyone has a nice rest of the weekend.
