Champagne moment today was going for a walk around the village and chatting with people. Lovely bright blue, sunny sky, but still a bit of a bite in the temperature.
This afternoon I will plant some veggies in my veggie bed.Debt free and Keeping on Track6 -
Hope you feel better soon, Sheila!
Yesterday's champagne moments - using some Little Greene paint leftover from another project, I revitalised the Lamp Black bookshelf/coatpeg in the reading nook. Vibrant Citrine is a far more appropriate colour for our boho bedroom.
I used up the remains of a jar of Bonne Maman cherry jam to make a baked sponge pudding. Not a flavour I'd buy again, but enjoyable nonetheless!
Also, I sold a blanket we'd been given that wasn't our style, for £30 on faceache!
Today I was going to start work on transforming that dress into pillowcases, but as it was beautifully warm and sunny after yesterday's disappointing weather, I decided to get outside and transplant more bluebells. The area beneath the very old apple tree should look super once I've moved the rest and they're all in flower....
With the hideous time we're currently having, I seriously needed to de-stress and just getting my hands submerged in the soil felt so therapeutic and healing 😊Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Today's champagne moment. Sitting in the garden with a gin and tonic and then eating our pasta bake dinner in the garden. The weather was so nice today we tried to make the most of it.Debt free and Keeping on Track5

Super, Mrs P - how lovely to think we can enjoy meals outside in March 🌞
My champagne moments today involved lots of lifting and shifting as I wanted to get as many of the removed laurel branches transferred to the bonfire pile as I could whilst DH was at work. There was an ulterior motive which involved planting a lovely new tree to replace those chopped down 😉
So, I got very hot carrying armfuls of the stuff from one end of the garden to the other...good exercise, I s'pose!
I succeeded in getting two massive heaps moved, but although I managed to drag a few of the larger ones, I had to wait for DH to arrive home to help with those branches that were 4m+ in length and about 20cm diameter.
There's tons more to move, but I felt I made a good start!
Finally, we planted the Amelanchier tree we bought about eight months ago. It already has loads of buds, so hopefully it will romp away now it's in the ground 😄

That's good to hear, Sheila 😃
Well, it's another stunning, sunny day here, but apart from giving the new tree a thorough soaking, I'm not planning on working outside as I've another little painting project I'd like to get on with. Hopefully the result will be a champagne moment!
Might have my lunch in the egg though 🌞
At the moment it's all about keeping busy so I don't dwell on the depressing stuff, as it's very easy to slide into CBA mode 🙄
Onwards and upwards!

Thanks everyone. Although I'm a bit tired I feel so much better. I do hope that I don't get it again. It seems rife at the moment. I went out for a lovely tea last night with youngest Daughter and Partner. The weathers been so lovely here. Even got a few bits done in the garden. However, the forecast is not as good for next week. Enjoy your weekend everyone

My Champagne moments yesterday were all to do with visiting family in Andover yesterday. I went to visit my older daughter, my son-in-law, my grandson and his partner and my Great-grandson. It is so lovely to have 4 generations in the same room having a good time together.
My Great-grandson ran towards me, he gave me a lovely cuddle and kiss. He has so much personality now that he is walking, running and beginning to speak.
My younger daughter, my younger son and I played Yahtzee. I had not played it for decades but I refreshed my memory with the rules of the game and we all had fun. Then I played a new adult card game Cards Against Humanity with 4 adults in the family. It is a risque card game, but we all had a right laugh playing it.
My daughter cooked her home made southern fried chicken boneless chicken thighs, hot and spicy chicken wings and macaroni cheese for everyone. She also made a mixed salad and had some Lidl premium coleslaw for those who wanted it. She gave me some of the leftovers, so no need for me to cook on Mother's Day tomorrow.
My older daughter, looking so fabulous and my Great-grandson. He is so tall already.
