Thank you Candygirl. It is a shame that you cannot attend your friend's wedding in person, but thanks to technology you can still feel a part of her wedding.4

Beautiful pic, Sugarbaby 😊 Glad you and your family had a super day! We also used to play yahtzee and recently found our old score sheets when going through a box that had been packed up for years....made us want to play again 😁
Yesterday's first champagne moment/aka successful project was livening up the guest room bedside tables utilising a small (250ml) tin of Little Greene paint picked up in a sale last year.
The off-black bedside tables were themselves a bit of a champagne moment as we got them heavily reduced due to an imperceptible scratch on one, back in 2018. They are actually one (or to be precise, two 😉) of only a handful of brand new furniture items we've ever bought in 30 years 😁
.... and now they look new all over again as I've painted them with three coats of Heat (a delicious burnt orange reminiscent of one of my favourite rooms we ever decorated back in 2003) in a chalky, matt (or *dead flat*) finish. There was thankfully just enough! It's quite a daring colour, yet stays true to our love of earthy tones. Finally I protected them with some Annie Sloan soft wax.
DH was initially a bit shocked when he saw the colour I'd chosen, but had to admit he loved the change. I'm delighted with the result as they give an unexpected, eclectic pop of colour amid the serene greens, soft pinks and antique gold...not to mention injecting them with our own personality 😍
It's good to be keeping myself occupied with artistic tasks right now!
My second champagne moment was going with DH to get kebabs yesterday evening, then enjoying them sitting in our local NT castle grounds.Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

My Champagne moments today:Well I had my 1st 4 hour session with The Young Vic today. I had to do so much freehand writing that the osteoarthritis in my right hand started to make the joints in my fingers painful. We had 2 sessions of 2 hours and an hour lunch break.I have never had to write so much before and listen so intently to our main facilitator. He gave us so many tools today that we can use in our creative writing and also for our written homework that he gave us.It was hard work, but I found it all so inspiring. It is great to start making new friends with like minded people, as well as getting so much support from industry professionals. My journey as a playwright has begun.7

After catching Covid when I went out for my birthday on the 4th of March I have finally started feeling better. My cough is much better suddenly and I have slept so much this past week. A minimum of 12 hours per night!
We also got tickets for a concert in June for a band I haven't seen in ages. An American rock band called Nine Inch Nails.:)7 -
Champagne moment today is Mother's Day. I have a lovely (really lovely 3D) card and DVD which I asked for from DS. We also spoke via Factime.Debt free and Keeping on Track4

My Champagne moments today were all about the gifts and cards that I received from my son and daughters for Mother's Day. I also got some yellow and pink roses from my son.
I have had a lovely day
