Welcome Frogletina. Why do you consider things OOD? I've used things like shower gel, bubble bath etc that I've had years and they are just the same as they were new. If the colour has gone weird or it is separating or smells horrible then ok but I can honestly say that has never happened with anything I've owned.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Another UU: Bath & Body Works hand wash in Vanilla Bean Noel fragrance. This one is released each Xmas and I still enjoy it. Have replaced it with a L'Occitane Verbena handwash.

For the items I marked as out of date, I was going on the symbol on the bottles showing the months that they should be used by once opened, eg, 6, 12 or 18 mths in a circle on the back of the items.
I have kept the body washes for now. They do smell ok. So I could use them in the shower. I'm going to use my other opened ones first.

I tend to notice that products with an expiry date ie on the base 09/21 tend to become more separated if inadvently used beyond the date.
I find some shampoos that while not opened are lurking around for ages get more viscous--- I am looking at you pink bottle of ogx shampoo. I might have to reuse it for floor wash as it made my head scratch worse than anything I've ever used. It turned into thick thick goo that was impossible to pour.
I know I have this shampoo for well over a year or so but it has happened with ogx before and honestly Im not sure i would purchase as readily.2 -
UU: Sephora by OPI mini lacquer called Don't Feed the Hand Models - is a mannequin hands colour. I liked it but have others that are similar. Can't repurchase anyway as the brand does not exist anymore.

I haven't been feeling great and didn't have any energy to post my recent UUs and INs. But here's an update:
UU:
Superdrug Dragon Fruit and Vanilla Shower Gel 250ml - WDBA and will do in the future. Love the scent of this and the redesigned bottles make it easier to use all of it
INs:
Oral B Satin Tape 25m
Oral B Satin Tape 25m
Oral B Satin Tape 25m
Oral B Satin Tape 25m
Colgate Plax Cool Mint Mouthwash 500ml
Colgate Plax Cool Mint Mouthwash 500ml
This is going to seem excessive but I placed a Superdrug order for a few things and took advantage of the 3 for 2 on the Satin Tape and the 2 for £4 of the mouthwash. But it took forever to arrive so I had to buy some Satin Tape from Tesco and then my order arrived later that day
One TA as well:
Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence 50ml
The SPF rating of this was found to be well below the stated SPF so out it goes, my skin didn't really get on with it, I'm going to sick with the Heliocare, at least I can trust that.
I'm not making much progress on my PP list. I need to work on using them consistently. Hope everyone is doing well2 -
UU Palmers cocoa butter: I really like this but it was a NBI, and I WNBA as it's not vegan/parent company isn't
IN Aldi Lacura Moisturising Hand Cream - the above was my last body moisturiser and my hands are really dry so I picked this up, it doesn't seem anything special, and is probably not cruelty free but it was cheap and a bit of an impulse purchase, nevermind.

I've been really rubbish at posting but after a few years I don't think I have a problem anymore.I have one or two backups of things and I've just been buying things as they are needed. I find that with multibuys I don't have the option of having no stash at all which irritates me. But the stash is small enough that it doesn't need hiding away.I have got better at giving away unwanted gifts.I'm feeling better about not buying until I need things even if it means ignoring a sale because that seems to lead to buying too much which then goes off before I get to it.I've worked out little things like: I like lotion but not butter; I get through 2 small hand creams at most a year; I use 1 lip balm a year; I use more conditioner than shampoo; I don't need a seperate foot cream; I don't like eye creams; I don't need body scrubs or foot scrubs if I'm using a mitt; Serum and glow tonic do make a difference to me; and I don't use bar soap. I used to think I needed targeted items for everything or I must need big pots of butter and wondered why everything went off so finding out what really works for me has improved my skin and saved money even though the items I do buy are often more pricey. Also realising how long something takes to use has helped me not to buy too much. It's really nice to buy something and use it right away while it smells good and the packaging is still shiny. All of this is helped I'm sure by shops being shut and shopping being less fun.I had an enourmous stash when I started! So if I can do it anyone can.4

Hope you feel better soon ssteveo. xxHave taken another mini lacquer from the stash to use. I think it's OPI Lavendare to find Courage (have to guess at the names as OPI don't put them on the mini bottles). Was quite impressed that the little make up bag I put them in is getting pretty light. Only have 10 bottles left (including this one).UU bottle of Superdrug acetone nail polish remover. Not as effective as the TESCO one which I have now opened.I'm hopeful of finishing an eyeshadow on Monday. Can't bring myself to put make up on around the house now that I'm going absolutely nowhere. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
