Ooh, how lovely to have lots of aunties
I certainly had a couple of extra ones growing up, and I try to be a good spare 'auntie' figure to some of my friends' children. Always good I think for kids to have people they feel safe with other than their parents as they grow up.
Glad you've had a nice day Greying

DD is another small person with an extended "honorary" family. She now decides if friends are allowed to become "family" and quite happily tells them when they reach that status in her eyes. I think letting her know that "family" is more than blood, it's the people who CHOOSE to be in your life is an important life lesson to learn.
Also, learning occurring outside the classroom- so true at all times but even more so in these strange ones.3 -

Good Morning!
This is my second attempt at a post.......... 🙄Cheery_Daff said:Ooh, how lovely to have lots of auntiesI certainly had a couple of extra ones growing up, and I try to be a good spare 'auntie' figure to some of my friends' children.......
facethemusic - I agree that we should be able to 'choose' who are included in our 'family'. Humans are so different, just because you share a family name, or similar genetics, doesn't mean to say you are good for each other........
rtandon - LG seems more 'accepting' of broccoli (within the context of teeny portions) than they are of the more bland veg such as cauli, potatoes.......
Soup for tea today. At the mo, I'm thinking Greek Lentil Soup, but I have a creole black bean option on the back burner of possibility if the weather takes a real turn for the worserer......
It should be a nsd. Can't think of anything that we desparately need.
MSE/MFW thoughts a bit thin on the ground....... soz.
Ta for popping in. Appreciated.

Good Evening!
No money spent today. We haven't run out of anything either - well, apart from the Christmas Smart1es that were finished up today - in recognition of a task well done 👍
No property of interest came into my view today. There was a severely over-priced bungalow. The garden was nice, and of a nice size, but the house itself was teeny, was at the very top of our notional budget, and - I'm being kind - would need 'refreshing' at the earliest opportunity. The kitchen was wee 🙁
Greek lentil soup was made for tea. It really isn't a 'looker', but it does taste nice, although I made it with lemon juice rather than wine vinegar as it was what I had.
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
1) LG's 'trying'
2) a line full of clothes dried
3) a cheap and filling tea
There have been times today when I've not been on my best behaviour, times when people have not behaved kindly towards us. But we've made it through the day, and have the opportunity to try again tomorrow. And we can aim for better, tomorrow.
Thanks for popping by.

Good morning!
Well, we're already all up and about, since LG wanted to get up the same time as DH. This is all very well, but DH can't make snap and entertain a littllie and make brekkie, so...........
I'm hopeful we can get out and about and have a breath of fresh air today.
Today should be a nsd, but I do need to formulate my food shopping list. However, I really need to get my arriss in gear and transfer meal choices off the 'master' plan to the weekly planner - to inform any shopping list!
I can't think of owt else MSE/MFW that I can talk about. I shall have a look at the property pages when I have a mo.
We shall aim to have a good day today 😘

Have a good day Greying. Hoping the weather is slightly kinder where you are, heavy rain here at the moment making going out and walking less appealing. I shall have developed webbed feet soon. Good for little ones to get out and run for a bit though.Greek lentil soup sounds lovely especially on such a miserable day. Might have to have soup today too.6

Good Evening!
OK, i'm sorry - if it was YOU I upset, I am sorry. My right ear has burned ALL afternoon! So I must have done summat naughty........... 🤣
So we were really lucky with the weather today. It was forecast rain, but we had mostly sun. The only rain we had was when we were 3/4 of the way around our walk....... However, I got some towels 95% dry out on the line, with a combination of sun and a breeze, so I'm well chuffed 😊 The sun was quite warm, but the minute you went into shade, or turned into the breeze, it were a bit cold!
No properties of note today. Several houses have come onto the market, and they are good sturdy properties - good size family accommodation, but they are in areas that are OK, but the schools struggle........ And one was at the absolute top of our budget, so again, nowt for us.
Today was a nsd.
I wasn't aiming to win any car tyre stars with me tea offering, and if you're after oat cuisine, I have to tell you; you are in the wrong place, as personally, I can't stand porridge [Greying apologizes to the whole of Scotland......]............ However, my offering of; Fish fingers, mashed potato, broccoli, and baked beans was offered to all - with NO concessions to LG......... Dear Reader, I am delighted to report that 3 CLEAN plates were placed on the side for washing up...... and LG ate the most broccoli (don't get too excited, it was still only a small piece), that they ever have in one sitting...... they also had room for yoghurt and apple. YAY!
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
1) LG clearing their tea plate.
2) Kindness and the knowledge that folk are looking out for us 😉
3) that the parentals have their vaccine date through.......
Right, I'm away to construct my shopping list. Ta for popping in. Appreciated.
