RT - you're a super sweety! 🥰
I'm 'back' - but over on the GC thread on OS. Our dreams/hopes of getting back on the housing ladder are pretty much shot. Anything 2/3 bedded that 'was' in our price bracket/favoured location has gone up about £60 -100k in 18 months or so (I so wish I was kidding 🙁), and we've not even got close to putting in offers that even got considered by the seller. We even got let around to look at one property, that the vendor had quite clearly decided to sell to a previous viewer (had been the day before) before we arrived 🙁
Trying to save 'extra', whilst paying out rent and everything else that is going up in price is next to impossible. I'm having to find ways to save now, just to be able to afford bills. Just like everyone else.
But otherwise, we're hail & hearty. We're enjoying the sunshine, and Team Greying still has mucho to be grateful for. So we continue to count our blessings, and carry on trying to navigate our way. Some days are easier than others, but again, we're not alone in feeling like that.
Thank you for the Mother's Day's wishes. I'm hoping to spend time with the other Team Greying members, and take a packed lunch out somewhere. Riches indeed 🥰

@Greying_Pilgrim - lovely to see you back
All things house are nonsensical at present - we can neither afford to move nor find a builder who wants our money to add on a wee extension6 -
