Yep just realized that!
So it seems the problem is with the boiler. The green flame light is not coming on and the blue light is flashing randomly. Engineer is coming out on Saturday.
Out of interest how is the immersion heater activated? I presume its the thermostat at the bottom of the cylinder? It is currently set to 50c.
My thoughts are still the 3 way valve but the engineer will be able to tell easier with being able to see and test. The reason for thinking the valve is based on experience at home2 -

From what you say I think this shows the same issue1 -

Its not visible on your pic so if its there it will be behind/under it. Just follow all of the pipework in there to see if you have 1 there

But in my case the boiler is not giving hot water to the taps or the heating. I thought the 3 way valve is faulty if either your DHW or CH is not working, not both.0 -

We could spend all weekend trying things without testing with a multimeter😁
I would wonder what happens if you turn the immersion off and empty the hot water tank... apart from you can't have a bath as the valve appears to be stuck mid position.
Edit... I'm pretty much guessing now though which would likely lead you on a wild goose chase. A little knowledge can be dangerous

Sheeeesh! The hot water has seemingly been from an immersion heater all along?! Lawdie - I didn't see that coming.See the red pump, 330d? Have a look on the other side of the red body from the black panel, and see if there's an arrow embossed on the casing. That'll be the direction of water flow. Ok, follow the arrowhead's direction and see where that pipe goes - it should be to the 3-way diverter valve (or might possibly split and go to two 2-way valves). The other end of that pump - not the arrow direction - is coming from the boiler 'flow'.That's just info of interest - I'm not suggesting you try anything. Please come back and tells us what the plumber found - this one's a mystery :-)0
