Central heating not working

Thank you all for the replies.
So it does look like a fault as the blue light is flashing. Also the green flame light next to the power toggle dial does not come on.
But strangely the blue light does not flash all the time. And my hot water works. Very confusing0 -
Your hot water works = your boiler is working."The green flame light next to the power toggle dial does not come on." What's a 'power toggle dial'? What's this on?

If you have a look at the manual there is a green flame light here. This indicates the burner is active but does not come on. It's strange as the burner must be active as I have not water.0 -

You should have the green flame on when the hot tap is actually running. Basically your boiler works but is stuck in tap mode and won't switch over to radiator heating. The easy issue this could be is if you have next to no water pressure in the radiators - but I think from the photo the dial on the red tank is reading about 1, which would be fine (it's a bit of a guess as the photo isn't that big). Otherwise the suggestion that the diverter valve inside the boiler has stuck in one position, which I think someone made earlier, is a strong contender and is something I would probably get someone in to sort.

No the green flame does not come on even when I run the hot water.
I have somebody coming on Saturday to have a look at it. Thank you everyone for the help.0 -
Aaaargh! This isn't a combi. It won't fire up when you run the hot tap, and it doesn't have a diverter valve inside it*. It'll fire up when it's TOLD to by the timer and prog stat. If it has a green 'flame' symbol - which you say it has - then this will only come on when there's a demand for DHW or CH.A DHW 'demand' occurs when (a) the Siemens timer says 'ONSKI' for DHW and (b) the cylinder stat says 'I want the water hotter than it currently is'.330d HAS hot water in his cylinder so, guess what?, the boiler is working fine.A CH 'demand' occurs when (a) the Siemens timer says 'ONSKI' for CH and (b) the Center Brand Prog Stat says the same.So why isn't the CH working? I dunno - but the most likely candidate is the communication betwixt the Prog Stat and its receiver.Firstly, is the Siemens timer set to 'ON 24hrs' or 'ON Constant' or whatevs for CH? If not, it should be. Why? Because the PROG Stat takes over this timer's role as part of its job. Prog Stats control both timing and room temp.Soooo, 330d please check that the Siemens timer has CH set to 'always on'.Cool - now PLEASE, oh gawd PLEEEEEEZ go to the RECEIVER and press that bludy 'override' button. And tell us what happens - if anything. Also, there are TWO lights on that receiver, I believe. Can you tell what they are for, and which - if any - are on?Ta, and a Happy New Year :-)* You will have a diverter valve somewhere (or 2 separate valves) but let's not worry about that yet. Please check the Prog Stat receiver.1

Gah yes - braincells dribbled out my ear. But the fact remains the fault light on the boiler is flashing for some reason.

- changed the battery in the Center wireless room thermostat to remove any doubt - made no difference.
- This wireless room thermostat is set to manual mode (always on). I have set the temp to 20c
- Siemens programmer - this is set to ALWAYS ON.
The receiver has a solid green light on it.
According to the instructions, this is fine, green light meaning its working correctly.
When pressing the button, the light goes off. No lights on meaning it is in override mode. But this makes no difference.
But this is where it gets interesting, I checked my gas meter and it has NOT moved for 3 days. Reading is exactly the same.
We are not living at the house as I am decorating it but for the last 3 days I have gone there every day spending the full day removing the wallpaper. I have used hot water for washing and filling the wallpaper steamer with hot water.
How am i getting hot water through the taps when the gas is not being used. I then made sure the gas meter is working by putting the hob on. It does, meter starts to spin immediately.
So how is water through the taps being heated? There must be a heater somewhere? But I didnt think this was possible as I have a indirect cylinder.

Yep just realized that!
So it seems the problem is with the boiler. The green flame light is not coming on and the blue light is flashing randomly. Engineer is coming out on Saturday.
Out of interest how is the immersion heater activated? I presume its the thermostat at the bottom of the cylinder? It is currently set to 50c.0
