No, there isn’t a gate. The parking machines seem to be in/closer to the main building and the signage isn’t great. Just letting you know so you you can avoid a similar hassle in future. If you forget, you can also go online and pay any time up until midnight on the same day.busajohn said:

People cannot be fined for going for their COVID vaccinations.
They are not , they are fined for parking offences

They are not even fined, just some money grubbing lowlifes trying to extract money

NO FINES Sir Dance, you know that. just a di*k head of a scammer who is a BPA member, only because the PPC is so desperate for money.D_P_Dance said:People cannot be fined for going for their COVID vaccinations.

I challenge Mr Clark to come on here and explain what he is doing with his scammers regarding covid and the jabs .... this will go on for months.

I am sure that @Coupon-mad meant to put "fined" for getting a Covid jab because that word, despite our attempts on here to educate posters, is what everybody uses!

Yes, I meant it and that's the word I used to the BPA and IPC in my email to them.
They have contacts on the NHS Programme Board and an exemption could easily be arranged if the industry could tear their focus away from money, for once, and focus on what parking firms should be doing - parking management where genuine service users (particularly the most vulnerable ones) are exempted and not 'fined'.
The fact the NHS Programme Board doesn't include a consumer 'like us' is to the shame of the NHS and the Dept for H&SC who have almost certainly allowed their decisions to be led by what the APAs say to them. OK, so now let's have something positive come from that influence, please, APAs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There has been talk about free parking at hospitals for certain groups but this appears to have been put back. Blue badge holders do fall into this group. In their appeal/defence the OP should state that the goal posts have changed that much that it is confusing.elsien said:For future reference if you have other appointments at UHCW I don’t think blue badge holders get free parking even in the designated disabled areas. Not sure whether this has been implemented yet.

No, they've implemented nothing by way of permanent change and all that has been achieved, as far as I can see, is that the APAs have dominated the NHS Programme board for a year and watered down the promise of free hospital parking. Odd, that it can be achieved in Scotland and Wales but somehow, the ''industry'' has managed to convince the Dept for H&SC and their toothless programme board that this is not possible in England and that they must restrict it to certain groups, at certain times, jumping through certain hoops.
Set up to fail, of course. This is what ANPR car park operators do best.
Parking management doesn't come free, the industry like to say.
True. It comes at huge cost to consumers, to line the pockets of the fat cats. ANPR in particular has no place at Hospitals. For God's sake get someone on the NHS Programme Board who actually knows what they are talking about, doesn't take what the APAs say as if they are some sort of expert regulators and can point out the DPA 2018 breaches and might now refer the whole scam to the ICO.
You only need an appointment overrunning or someone not knowing how to register for their 'exemption' or a night shift worker arriving early or staying half an hour longer to hand over, and kerchinnnnggg! The parking firm makes £100 because most elderly people just pay ''fines''. The NHS makes either nothing, or a tenner, and the consumer is ripped off again. Nice work, APAs. Time to do something useful for the World to put right your industry's excesses and stop paying lip service to it all and sounding like you are playing nicely.PRIVATE 'PCN'? I've sent you a pm today as I hope my complaint to the BPA will see this cancelled, and to get them and the NHS/Dept for H&SC to look at the bigger picture for all the other victims too. I am asking for both to be addressed by the BPA (and the IPC re the second thing, a 'Covid jab parking policy' decision for 2021).busajohn said:
