Issued Parking Ticket for attending Covid Vaccination

I am lucky to have been given a vaccination so I attended a church that had been set up to vaccinate people. I attended my appointment  - and now I have been issued with a parking ticket - there was no mention parking tickets were needed.
Do I contact the Church or the Company that has issued the charge?

You read the NEWBIE sticky, which will, along with lots more useful advice, that Plan A (complain to the landowner - church?) is always best.

Well, as it's not the vicar ...... who is the company ?
  • Attending for a Covid vaccination doesn't give you any more (or less) rights than being there for any other legitimate reason.

I agree but there was no mention of parking requirements or anything. You just queued up and went inside. There are no parking meters.

Presumably there were signs in the car park if it is "policed" by a private company?

At the entrance there was only staff in bright yellow gear asking if we had an appointment. The road had been partially closed so traffic could only enter one way. There was no mention of parking fees.

oh civil enforcement is a breeze to beat.
Send them this, nothing else , end of story, you will get a letter in a few weeks cancelling the charge.  This honestly needs no further discussion  https://appeals.ce-service.co.uk/
CEL is non POFA , come back when you have confirmation its been cancelled.
"This is an appeal by the registered keeper
No driver details will be given so please dont ask.
Your notice does not confirm to POFA so you are unable to transfer liability from the driver to the keeper.
Please cancel or issue a popla code where you will auto withdraw/or lose when your failure to produce a valid NTK is brought to the attention of POPLA.
So lets save us both time (ps the popla appeal is ready to log)"
