@Laura_Elsewhere, that skirt is positively triumphant! A wonderful use of the fabric, comfortable, practical & really rather elegant too. I've had someone tell me that that was, in fact, a Laura Ashley fabric that was "remaindered" back in the late 70s. She used to run one of our local fabric shops so knows her stuff. Apparently they didn't always "sign" it back then, as they did from the early 80s onwards.
@CAFCGirl that blanket looks marvellously cosy, just right for a reading chair in autumn. Beautifully done.
I've been busy between the new grandson & the business, and have neither bought nor made anything - except a bunch of lavender hearts out of old, stained table linen, which I originally made as stall-dressing but seem to be selling rather well - for weeks! Time to get cracking; I'm overdue a wardrobe sort-out too.

Baileys_Babe said:I love your autumn blanket @CAFCGirl are the sections sewn together or have you joined them using some other method?
Its 136 individual squares, then I sewed them together side to side in order (obviously), to make rows, and then the full rows were sewn together.
Only a couple of mistakes early on with the sewing near one of the ears but I can live with itWealth is not measured by currency8 -

We're few and far between.
If you can knit some socks, you can most definitely knit a blanket!

Thanks, @CAFCGirl my socks are very simple and only use basic stitches, my sister wrote the pattern and I try and follow it. I need and want to spend some time practising different stitches, loom & peg sizes, yarns etc I need to make a plan and then stick to it.

@Laura_Elsewhere, I can totally see that fabric being Laura Ashley
Take care everyone8 -
Uh oh. I just bought 5 pairs of jeans because practically all of mine either don’t fit or are so worn out, I rather worry about the inner thighs. At 6 each, that means I’m down 30! 11 coupons left…and I have to figure out new shirts as well because those are falling apart as well!
Hmmm…I don’t think our “ration” takes into account how much quicker modern clothing falls apart if you haven’t time to sew your own!2023 Fashion on the Ration: Start with 66. Nightdress - 6 = 60 remaining.9 -
Coupons 66 + 16 = 82. Spent 11 + 5 + 16 + 7 + 30 = 69. I make that 13 coupons left 😉 You are trying to rob yourself of coupons TwibbleDee 😉Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Save Lives. ⭐️2025 Savings Pot Challenge: As a monthly amount, running total = £299.00

Thank you, @Mrs_Salad_Dodger for checking @TwibbleDee’s points. (Can’t have one of those spivs in the market nicking her coupons.)TwibbleDee said:Uh oh. Curiously, I’ve just watched a Levi’s ad where the theme was “make better, buy better, buy less, waste less, make a difference, buy Levi’s”. It was only on the last frame that it mentioned Levi Jeans. The message was clear, though: “Don’t buy disposable clothes, buy us instead.”
(Personally, the biggest driving factor in my current choice of jeans is whether the front pockets fit my phone. Seriously, a phone is an essential piece of kit these days and it needs to be kept safe and secure.)
@CAFCGirl. Love the blanket. It looks very cozy.
