Am pleased to announce, all the squares for my big knitting project have been completed and so the task of stitching them altogether is upon me.
I opted for by row, and then by column, and aim is one row/column per day and then I will attempt to crochet around the edge to keep it tidy and together.
With any luck it'll be ready for the autumn weather.
No coupons to report, however having realised that I am now in the North for all the seasons from here on, I will need what i think is termed 'a big coat'.
In the south I'd got away with a barbour jacket and a jumper for the winter but I fear that wont be the case here so on the lookout for something appropriate.Wealth is not measured by currency9 -

On the coat front, you may recall that I spent several winters working in a badly heated portacabin in the middle of a field. In December 2017, I invested in the longline version of this Ultra Light Down Hooded Coat from Uniqlo, which I'd wear at work until the day warmed up. I was as warm as toast. (My husband calls this coat, "The Duvet".) I can't recommend it enough. I've worn it to football matches on cold, windy days and never felt a thing. The only thing I don't know about is how waterproof it is. I know it's machine washable, because my sister has one and washes it irregularly.
Today, I will mostly be wearing one of my pairs of M&S jeans, an H&M t-shirt, purchased in 2002, a pair of socks that I knitted in 2016 from yarn reclaimed from a pair of Jaywalkers knitted in 2011 which I frogged - there's a link to my blog post about them on the Ravelry project page - and this jumper, which I started in April and finished on 3rd July:

I am in my shorter green linen skirt (made this year from fabric given in ?2019), Tequila Sunrise ankle-socks (knitted/ wool bought early 2020) and yellow-spotty plimsoles (bought this year); a striped linen camisole (bought BNWT on eBay his year) under a green-white striped cap-sleeved shirt I bought for 50p or thereabouts 3-4 years ago in Primark and altered significantly earlier this year. Blue linen shorts (BNWT on eBay last year) with lace edging underneath (cotton hread bought this year from Rav de-stash), knicks M&S about 2017.
I'm also finally getting going on my autumn skirt in Thriftwizard's lovely needlecord. All cut and pinned, long seams machined, now to hand-sew the yoke and waist...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Looking forward to seeing the skirt, @Laura_Elsewhere!
Today I'm wearing - a hat! A hat made from old shirt collars & cuffs, to be precise. Just to see if it could be done - and it can!
Please excuse daft expression - the iPad, which I was trying to use one-handed whilst restraining a rather large & clumsy cat, was threatening to leap into the pond!Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)11 -
That hat is lovely, @thriftwizard.

Forgive me, sisters, for I have sinned... Despite my loudly stated intentions of buying no more yarn in 2021, 7 balls of DK are winging their way to me from Hobbycraft. I had one of their £5 birthday vouchers to use up before it expired, and it was on 3-for-2. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.) It's the 100g ball Women's Institute Home Grown DK Yarn in plum. I bought enough to get free P&P. £26.50 and 14 coupons spent.
