That's a pity, @PipneyJane. I must have just the right shade to not show through my t shirts!😉
Today I wore...
Very old dark blue cropped trousers with a baggy blue t shirt that must be 4 or 5 years old because I was helping DD in her overgrown garden. Old socks and trainers to finish the look.2025 Fashion on the ration

Ok...Today I was wearing - pair of brown jeans from Lands End that must 20 years old if its a day, together with a fleece that was even older, that is around 25 years old, a pair of socks that are 3 years old, and a pair of Sketchers that are also three years old - this was my 'smart' outfit for visiting the dump....Then this afternoon for afternoon tea with my girlfriends, I wore white cotton jeans that are 16 years old, a fine red v-neck jumper from M&S that is probably aound 4 years old, and a pair of red sandals that I bought last year.I'm like Laura - I make my clothes last a very long time, provided they are still comfortable to wear and I'm still able to fit them!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.

@PollyWollyDoodle wishing you a smooth move, and a bit of a holiday leading up to it! And enjoy London, @Liverpool_Anne .
@PipneyJane, Mum's loving her care home. She has a large en-suite room, with a balcony and a view out over the harbour, so she can watch all the comings & goings - tourists, buses and bikers by day, fishing boats by night. Much more fun, and better than her frame of mind, than endless TV, although she does have one anyway. The other residents are friendly & more or less on the same wavelength, and the staff are lovely. Hard to believe it was the cheapest of the places we looked at for her!
Today I wore the same as yesterday, changing into a pair of "shorts" to go up to the allotment & pick, weed & water this afternoon. Actually cut-off Per Una jeans, bought from a charity shop about 5 years ago, which have been superseded by another Per Una pair and a Laura Ashley pair, also acquired from charity shops when hunting for clothes for Mum. £4.99 for each pair.Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)9 -
T-shirts?
Same as 'other garments' at 3 coupons?
If so, spend to report!
My husband failed to listen to the direction with my succulent vest top I recently made, and put it in the tumble dryer *SIGH*
So my soul needed the joy of pun filled tshirts and I purchased two basic crew neck tees (one white womens fit and one a stone unisex) to adorn with my punny transfers. I'd been trying to find some in the charity shops but nothing that didnt already have a print or that wasnt questionable in condition.
6 coupons total until I'm correctedWealth is not measured by currency9 -
Right now, I'm wearing shorts from a few years ago at Walmart and a tank top/bra bought at a local bra shop a few years ago. Later on, I'll add on one of my fly fishing skirts and a Firefly T-shirt that I've cut the collar off of because I hate things up around my neck. I might actually wear socks (SmartWool from REI a few years back) and boots (bought at a local boot shop a few years back) as we're headed out to a park and I'd rather not have to worry about ants and snakes so much.
I think my wardrobe might be a bit younger than most of yours. I tend not to acquire hand-me-downs (except for some jeans from Mom) because I'm rather picky about clothes and textures, and the charity shops in my area just aren't much fun at all.2023 Fashion on the Ration: Start with 66. Priceless! Thank you, @TwibbleDee
This afternoon, I cut out & made the Mompei trousers. I have to report, they're relatively easy to make (though I did make a fairly daft error, as I was using a tie-dyed linen sheet with no visible right or wrong side) and blissfully comfortable to wear - also, surprisingly, quite flattering - however I won't be showing you any pictures just yet, due to an unfortunate placing of the tie-dyed "pattern"! So tomorrow I'll be dyeing them black - I've been hunting for a pair of black linen trousers for months - & will post a pic if that's successful. At last - comfortable trousers that are actually cool, too! As in, not warm...Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7 -

Oh dear - I had no idea that people had no idea about how to cook husbands. I spend too much time reading cookbooks I think - I particularly like the odd ones which are compilations of peoples recipes and variations come up on this theme from time to time. This one was published in Food for Life Food for the Soul, In aid of the church roof fund, St Mark's Ladies Group - Recipes and Handy Hints 1999. I do wonder if they published one annually."How To Cook A HusbandFirst catch him.Having done so, mode of cooking as follows:-Many good husbands are spoilt in the cooking; some women always keep them in hot water; whilst others freeze them; some keep them in pickle all their lives. These women always serve them up with tongue sauce. Now husbands cannot be expected to be tender and good when done in this way. They are very delicious when managed as follows:-Obtain a jar called the jar of carefulness, which all good wives have to hand, place your husband in it; and set him near the fire of conjugal love; let the fire be very hot and clear and the heat constant. Cover him with affection and kindliness, garnish him with modest familiarity, and if yu add kisses and confectioneries, let them be accompanied with sufficient secrecy mixed with prudence and moderation. All wives ought to try this recipe and realise how admirable a dish a husband is, when properly cooked.Anne SwailesKirkby Stephen, CumbriaBeth Smith's relative"2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons7
