I finally have a project to show off. This is my Summer Jumpers Are Casual sweater.
I reknitted the collar 3 times before I was happy with it, cannibalising my swatch in the process. And here is the sleeve detail.

@maddiemay, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
@PipneyJane, what a super jumper! A lovely colour as well as being unusual.
I discovered a wartime leaflet on water today, in a little box of other wartime leaflets that I haven't yet had time to read. I hope you are all keeping the bath half filled with water and topping it up when necessary? There is a danger of water becoming contaminated if we have air raids. They haven't explained how not to waste that water when we have our baths but so little water is allowed nowadays that I imagine a lot of us prefer a basin of hot water and a good wash!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Lovely jumper, Pip!Slight aside - my mum lived in London throughout the Blitz. She said you would often see just the wall of a house left standing, with fireplace, wallpaper etc and sometimes a bath dangling incongruously in mid-air. She said she had a real dread of being caught in the bath in this way, until my pragmatic aunt pointed out that any occupant of the bath would certainly not still be in it!
I think we can probably use the ‘bath’ water for washing our smalls.I’m sorry to hear of your loss MaddieMay, as Pip said it’s very difficult at the moment with limited numbers at funerals and no chance to share stories afterwards.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. @Cherryfudge the wool is from Doulton Border Leicester in their “Roseberry Topping” colourway. Border Leicester is a rare breed and I’m a bit of a convert. If I have any coupons left at the end of this year, I’ve promised myself that I’ll buy some more. It’s not the softest yarn to knit with but it does soften up beautifully after washing and is very warm. There were absolutely no prickles. I used three 100g skeins with not much left over.
Thank you for the link @TwibbleDee. (If you haven’t read it, it’s the story of another of our brave girls in SOE.) I did joke to a colleague recently that “I knit so that I don’t kill people”, when wound up about deadlines, etc. I’m sure Phyllis Latour Doyle felt the same way at times.

Nice work. Also, I don't know what the first two collars looked like but that one looks just right.
I ripped the first collar out after I realised that the neckline was far too tight and would strangle me, so had to add 10 rows on each side to the front. I’d already knitted the sleeves at this point. If I’d realised earlier, I’d have probably made them 10-15 stitches longer at the cast-on edge, to maintain the blousing from the original pattern.
For both the first and second times, the collar didn’t include picking up stitches on the edge of the ribbing, leaving a gap at the neck edge. That just didn’t look right to me, once I put the jumper on, hence ripping it out again and re-doing it for the third time.

@PipneyJane, well I must say I think it was worth the tri-collar effort (tri-collar? Very nearly the French flag...)
It looks seriously lovely. And I do love that colour too!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
