What are the Halifax Reward loopholes?

Nothing to work out I've explained above one way - open a PO savings account and pay using the debit card it deducts a day later and arrives a day after that. So takes a full week from paying in to Halifax to getting it back into your originating account - passing through PO savings.tel_ said:
Yes, I'm thinking of opening a second one too. Just need to work out how to pay another £500 via debit card (without buying something of course).Katiehound said:When Halifax Reward first launched (whenever that was!) you could have 3 accounts. Then you could have 2 (but I switched one when it got to £2 pm and the switch was a lot more generous!) Finally it got down to one (I am not talking about joint accounts)
Perhaps it is time to open a new account??!!0 -
Oh yes there is, especially when I requested to open a PO savings a/c back in June, and still haven't heard a sausage from them!funkycredit said:

I applied for a Reg Saver with the PO on 2 June, and guess what? Nothings happened!
Well, people on this forum have warned the likes of myself of their shoddy customer service.
I only applied for the Reg Saver as it allows direct debits. Hardly any dosh will be kept in it, so it's no great deal to me.
I will post an update, IF and WHEN they decide to contact me.
Hence why I still haven't replied to this thread above.0 -
NS&I is an easy option, Premium Bonds or a Direct saver if you want to deposit and then withdraw.tel_ said:

I didn't know about the NS&I account allowing deposits via debit card. I've just read their T's & C's, and debit cards are allowed. Thanks NottinghamKnight.NottinghamKnight said:

But can someone confirm opening a second Reward account, not a joint account either, would still be fine, even though those Halifax T's & C's state otherwise?0 -
Considering I've got 18 of them, I think you'll be OK with 2.tel_ said:

Why stop there? If you had 180 of them you could be earning £10,800 per annum!Ed-1 said:

If you can find me a way of making that amount of debit card payments a month without getting closed down then I might consider it!pphillips said:

If you were inclined, could you open more now? Or would it risk the others being shut down?Ed-1 said:

I had 3. Closed them all down. Don’t you have to spend £500 a month on your debit card to get the £5 reward? No one has ever become poor by giving0
