Oh Sugar, I am so sorry to hear that you have those awful side effects. Hopefully you will feel much better tomorrow.Debt free and Keeping on Track6

Hopefully the side effects will only last for a short while sugarbaby. 😊
I'd love a visit to the beach pixie. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Although we're only about 3 miles from the waterfront, it's about 30 minutes to get to proper open seaside. I'm not sure that counts as an essential journey. I know the local police fined people on Valentine's weekend for sitting in cars drinking coffee but it was unclear, from what I read, whether they weren't local enough or just because they weren't exercising. I might risk it next month when picnics are allowed.
I managed to get just about everything I wanted when I went out but I have noticed that queues are getting longer at checkouts. I'm not sure whether shops have cut back on staff, have a lot of sickness absence or people are shopping at different times. Stock was low on some items too. You can always tell when places are stretching things out.
The article I read yesterday showed a cord jacket in much the same style as a denim one Wednesday. I thought it made a nice change.
I'm sure once a look is popular then all the Hight Street stores start bringing out their own version. Denim 'trucker' style jackets are pretty timeless though. I have a similar velvet jacket to the one on the right. Mine's black but I've never thought of wearing it during the daytime so it's giving me ideas. 🤔7 -
Wednesday2000 said:That red coat sounds nice. I would like a red denim jacket. I can't wait for the charity shops to open. I really am looking forward to hunting for bargains again.
I got a text from my GP today saying I needed to get a routine blood test, but I don't know whether to just wait a few months until everything opens up properly.
I've got the hygienist tomorrow, I certainly know how to live the high life, doctor, trip to the beach and then the dentist. That more contact than I've had with people since Christmas.7 -
I got the AstraZeneca vaccine. No issues at all. Not even minor discomfort in the arm. It was super organized and so straightforward. I think as the side from the occupational risk; I was picked out to get it because I would tell it as it is for me; no issues so far and hopefully reduce vaccine hesitancy.
Sugar- I hope you feel better soon. Please rest and take it easy over the next day or two. You were exposed to the virus and most likely have antibodies that are reacting to the virus particulates.

SUgarbaby.......sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell after the vaccine. Hope it doesn't get too bad or last too long. Take care and get as much rest as you can, ❤️7

Maman - that is a great idea. I'm just looking on the New Look now website as they have some coats and jackets on sale. I always forget about this store. I just saw this on there. Lol @ jumpsuit.
Cold weather calling. Our jackets and coats will see you through the season. From puffer to faux fur, we’ve got plenty of styles available. The perfect outfit? Wear yours with a jumpsuit.
I saw a YT video about women over 40 yesterday and the woman was wearing a black hoodie/blazer jacket and it looked good on her. She was styling it with dark blue skinny jeans and trainers.
My husband had his first jab yesterday. He was waiting for 40 minutes as there were lots of people there. I was quite surprised by that as I have read on here and elsewhere that it was very efficient for most people who had their Covid vaccine. He said he feels fine and hasn't had any reaction so far.
I'm going to be browsing the New Look website now before my breakfast and I have to go out at 8.30 for a filling at the dentist.

Hello Ladies,
I am feeling a lot better today. The pain in my armpit is still there. I took 2 painkillers. I believe that it is my lymph nodes in that area that is causing me pain. I still feel exhausted, but I was already suffering from fatigue because of having Covid last year, but now it feels as if I have fatigue upon fatigue. I am just going to take it easy and give my body plenty of rest.
I was given the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, but if I had been given the choice, I would have chosen the Astra Zeneca vaccine, as having read up on how they both work, I felt that the Astra Zeneca vaccine was more suitable for me personally.
Thank goodness for this thread, which always reminds me to make an effort with my personal grooming, when I do not feel like I can be bothered. When I went for my vaccine, I was wearing solid gold jewellery and my Tissot gold plated watch. I also layered my perfume and my whole outfit was red and black and I was carrying my red Osprey leather handbag. I met a man I knew when I went into the room to rest for 15 minutes. He wanted to talk to me, but I was just polite as I know that he fancies me and I did not want our conversation to turn flirty like it normally would if I was meeting him in the local Jamaican wine bar that I know him from.6 -
Good to hear you are feeling a bit better Sugarbaby. Let's hope the worst is over for you. Post viral fatigue is awful, and there's not much anyone can do, except ride it out. I still feel pretty wiped out.I watched the two Van Tullikan doctors last night, an overview of the Pandemic. I do like that pair, they seem genuinely nice and caring and are always happy to share their knowledge with everyone. . They talked about fatigue, both from long Covid, and other post Viral illness such as ME and CFS. Apparently long covid has triggered a debate about fatigue and there is now quite a lot of research going on. The medical establishment are aware that there are going to be a lot of people struggling with Long Covid and seem keen to get some answers. As they said on the programme, it will mean a greater understanding of post viral fatigue in general, and, hopefully, some better treatments in future, not just for long covid but that there will be a knock on effect for illness such as ME and CFS.It's an ill wind...........
Glad you still enjoy the thread SUgarbaby. It meanders a bit and goes off piste from time to time But it does help me stay on track. It makes me accountable.😂. Sometimes if I'm feeling a bit low or that I just cba I read what you lot are up to and it makes me up my game. You sound as if you really upped the glam stakes yesterday. Good for you. I found that wearing my bright jacket yesterday and making an effort really lifted my spirits. So I'm going to do the same today when I go to Aldi.Glorious sunshine here, but not sure how warm it is, I haven't ventured out yet.
Have a great day y'all.6 -
Feeling a bit sorry for myself as I was at the dentist first thing for an extraction. Was in the chair for over an hour. Home now with a 7 day course of anti biotics. Am going to take it easy today. We are planning fish and chips takeaway tonight, I might just have the chips, will see how I feel in 8 hours timeDebt free and Keeping on Track6

My husband was told that he had the Pfizer vaccine too. I asked him and he said his arm is sore today, but it isn't bruised or swollen. He seems fine for going back to work tomorrow.
I just had to have three injections for my filling today. I can't eat for a few hours which is annoying as I bought some nice food from Coop on the way home. Haha.
I bought a few things from New Look, although I didn't see a red jacket I liked. I got a tan lightweight jacket (only £9) and a black denim jacket. I also got a black belted jersey blazer, some trainers and some sandals. I was going to get a hoodie but I thought I could probably easily find one cheaper in a charity shop as they have them a lot. I might even look in the men's section as they sometimes have smaller sizes in the shops. I got 25% off as well as they sent me a code.
I'm going to call up the GP surgery to see if i can book a full blood test check up now.
I think I am going to try to watch the second series of Big little Lies today as I read there is going to be a third series. I really liked the first one.
