thepurplepixie said:I quite like that we have the sort of relationship where we can discuss it. Maybe it is easier with GC than our own. I remember when my mother died my 11 year old daughter told us the music my mother wanted at the funeral, she'd discussed it with her but not her own children. Or maybe my family is just weird that way.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hello Ladies,
I talk to my 4 children about what will happen in the event of my death. They know there is a folder which will have hymn choices and other details about my cremation and wake.
I will have to make far more effort to cut out all of my unhealthy snacks over the next 4 weeks as I have not lost any weight. I cooked a chicken breast and vegetable stir fry for dinner this evening, it was delicious.

Sugar - your stir-fry looks delicious - it made me realise that I haven’t had one in ages so must put that to rights.
Maman - you are so lucky to not have any grey - mine turned grey when I was quite young (about 35 😱) and it isn’t even a nice grey, it is what I call a ‘dirty’ grey, so I colour mine myself with Clairol Nice & Easy Light Golden Blonde.
Not really been doing too much over recent days but will be going out food shopping tomorrow - not sure if I will be able to stand the excitement though 😉.
Looking forward to hearing about the ‘road-map’ next Monday - I know it will still be a while before things re-open but at least there will be something to look forward to.7 -
I went to the post office to post off my PIP form special delivery this morning to make sure it got there before the deadline. It was typical as I got home and I had a letter from the DWP saying that I got a two week extension anyway. I didn't ask for one so I'm not sure if the person for the charity contacted them or if they are just doing that because of the lockdown.
I got my Amazon and Superdrug deliveries. I wore my new black zip up cardigan out today as I think you do need to keep your core warm although it's much milder anyway. They do them in other colours so I might buy a dark green one too. It was strange to spray on the CK One perfume as I remembered the scent so well from uni.
I did use the hot steam treatment on my sinuses last night. I think I will do it each night to see if it works. I did change my air purifier filter in my bedroom last night too. I find the purifier helpful as a white noise machine too as it blocks out a lot of street noise at night. I got into bed afterwards to read my kindle. At the moment I'm reading Home Truths by Tina Seskis, apparently I bought it back in 2019.
Just plodding along really. I don't think I have anything coming up now until the dentist appointment late next week.

I just hope the road map is based on data not dates sukey. Pulling an arbitrary date out of the air would just lead to errors and more U-turns IMO. Personally I'd much rather know that various relaxations would be triggered when the daily deaths/new infections/R number or whatever data was right rather than 'by Easter' or similar. It would also mean that we could track it daily which would help me be more trusting.
I love stir fries too. I think I'll join you and Sugarbaby and put it on the menu for next week. Last night, I caught some of the Celebrity Bake Off. Usually I avoid reality TV like the plague especially as I rarely know any of the 'celebrities' but this was interesting. I actually know who Ed Balls and Rachel Johnson are even though I had to Google the other two. What I liked was that they were cooking proper food which I'd want to eat (last night was fish and mushrooms) not sugar laden concoctions and the judges were constructive rather than shaming people. I'll probably watch the final tonight. Choices of entertainment are getting very limited, especially as I don't have Netflix or any other subscription.
Where did you buy your zip up cardigan Wednesday? It's a style I like too.
In the fashion section today, there's an article on hoodies and it mirrors exactly what I've been doing myself. Who knew I was a fashionista?? 😉 I started wearing hooded cardigans for purely practical reasons because I have a coat and a jacket which (stupidly for showerproof coats) don't have hoods. Then I realised I liked the casual look of the cardigan hood lying outside my collar. My cashmere/wool one is on its way to add to the two I bought at the end of last year. I expect the DottyP one will become a collectors' item! 😁
Did you get a face wash with your Superdrug order Wednesday? I think I remember you posting that. I'd like to know what you think. I'm still finishing off an OK ( efficient but a bit drying) Nivea one and still dithering about whether to try another or just get the Clinique one that I know I like.
I've put Flaxseed oil on my face this morning, instead of serum, so giving it time to sink in. Can't get enough moisturiser when we're indoors with the heating on. 😊8 -
We went to the garden centre this morning - I wanted to buy some trees/shrubs. I bought a lovely magnolia (well let's hope it will be) and two other shrubby plants. All were quite well established which is what I wanted. We just have to wait for a dry day so DH can plant them!
I put a nice dress and cardie on and my Harris Tweed boots and did the full face make up plus necklace and earings. A shame most was covered with my coat, scarf and hat and maskBut, I felt good and it was good to be out. Am looking forward to being called for my jab, then I will feel a lot safer.

Maman - I got the zip up from Amazon. I bet a hoodie under a top is quite a warm thing to wear as the hood probably acts like a scarf around your neck. I got a Garnier lemongrass gel wash from Superdrug. I probably won't use it for a while as I want to see what the new serum and night cream are like first and I don't want to use too many new products at once in case my skin reacts.
I'm glad I persevered reading that book as the ending had a twist I did not see coming!I just went out for another walk to get some fresh air. My nails are all chipping again with all the hand washing so I am going to take off the pink varnish now and just do a clear layer.
I think I will start another one of her books again tonight as I bought another one for £1.99. Honeymoon. I was going to watch the newer Rebecca film one night this week too. I love the original so much but I saw it was on Netflix.

Great idea to get dressed up MrsPorridge, still worth it despite your coat and hat. Good for morale. 😊
It's tipped down all day today here. Some guys turned up at 8 o'clock to put up scaffolding next door. I feel really sorry for them. ☹️
It's a good idea to just change 1 product at a time Wednesday. Then you can isolate where the problem is.
My hoodies arrived from Woolover. Great service as I ordered them on Sunday. Definitely a keeper. Now I have to decide which size is best. 🤔8 -
Hello Ladies,
I like doing stir fries, as they are not calorie dense and they are quick to prepare and cook in my large non stick wok. I did a Jumbo king prawn and vegetable stir fry for dinner this evening.

Hello Lovely Ladies.Day 3 of "something". Either an extremely unpleasant head cold/lurgy or further side effects of the vaccine. My pharmacist sister reckons it's the latter, she says the symptoms compute, that they have had a lot of their customers complaining of similar symptoms post jab. So It's a sofa day, reading, Netflix and ice cream - just about all I can swallow. Never mind it will be worth it.I did manage to stick to my allotted slot at the recycling plant, took a car load including two black bin liners full of unwanted clothes which were too shabby for a charity shop. So not an entirely wasted week but I haven't really managed much else. Not much news. Your meals look good SUgarbaby.....tbh I don't even feel like eating.Maybe I'll lose a few lbs. 🤞8
