@maman I like Woolovers and have a couple of pieces. I am on their mailing list and just looked out the latest brochure.
There is a 20% discount code on it CD20, but it ends tomorrow 14th.
I have been considering buying Black | Cashmere Merino Crew Neck Cardigan | WoolOvers UK
I had better get on and order it!

Thanks maddie, I'll get on to it PDQ. 😊9

CG - I hope it was yummy! I was tempted to buy a vegan brie from Sainsbury's but I read the reviews and some people reckon it tastes like soap! Hmm, I think I will give it a miss. Lol.
I just went for a walk. It's still really cold with that windchill. I went to a local £1 shop to get a few things instead of using Amazon constantly! I got cotton wool, some dotty salad bowls, 3 pairs of black thermal socks for my husband, 2 pairs of new black winter gloves for me and some large cleaning sponges. I want to use the sponges to deep clean the bathroom tomorrow as my husband is working all week.
We watched two films yesterday and a Netflix documentary. They were all really watchable. We are watching the third series of Stranger Things later, finally. We are having the pizzas today as I forgot I had burger buns to use up yesterday so we had veggie burgers and wedges.
I washed my hair when I got home and put in a leave in conditioner afterwards. I'm about to paint my fingernails pastel pink.

That's a good idea to use the £ shop Wednesday. It's not always the case but so many basics are much better value than Amazon. Well done on sticking to your walks. I've been a real wimp this week and have only been out in the car. Next week promises to be much milder but wet! We can't win!😉
I ordered the wool/cashmere hoody from Woolover. I'd seen it advertised with a code in my newspaper with a reduction plus free postage and returns. I decided to ring them to ask if it was OK to order 2 sizes to try on as I don't want it too small. Customer services was excellent and took my order over the phone which made things very simple. Hopefully I'll be happy with it when it arrives later in the week. 😊
We had our Valentine's meal last night and it was a great success. DH even said again this morning how much he'd enjoyed it. Will definitely make lasagne again very soon. 😋7 -
We don't bother with Valentine's Day, don't know why really but it just hasn't been a thing with us maybe having loads of family birthdays in January, February, March and April plus obviously Christmas and Easter at either end is a bit overwhelming. I've gone mad today and made his favourite sherry trifle, not keen myself I considered a lemon meringue as that is my favourite but decided to treat him. I've got roast pork for dinner. Might do a lemon meringue in the week.
My life seems to revolve round food at the moment with DH and GS both being big, over 6 ft, and big eaters so food seems to dominate with nothing much else to distract us. I'm happy with my crochet projects and my hand/write is painless so well worth it.
Last year I got a bit stuck for Easter with lockdown and everything so decided to get ahead of the game this year and ordered eggs for GS (6) and my kids (4) and partners (4) so I now have a huge pile of 14 Easter eggs. I think I've shot myself in the foot. Roll on Easter. I don't normally do eggs for the adults but thought they all deserved a treat this year.7 -
I've not had it yet WEDNESDAY, but I love camembert ❤
If anyone needs a good film to watch, White Tiger on Netflix is Brill! I read the book years ago, n the film is just as good, which makes a change 😉"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

maman - I am pleased that you have secured the hoodie that you wanted. I ordered my cardigan, my existing one is cashmere, but is not so smart after wearing down gilets over it. I spent some time yesterday de-bobbling and brushing several of my "good" jumpers, they look much better now.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)5

happy Valentine’s Day fabbers
its a normal day for us, but me and OH treated ourselves to steak for dinner, which was very nice.
I got some rather annoying news a few days ago - HMRC have written to me to inform me that I have underpaid tax so I owe them quite a bit of money. I’m annoyed because I’m PAYE and they control how much they take from my salary, so they should get it right. We won’t starve, but it’s something I could have done without.

That's really irritating chanie. You expect when you're PAYE that the upside is it's all taken care of. Like you, I've always been PAYE (still am) and look crossly at friends and family who seem to be able to claim for all sorts. Perhaps your beautiful, tidy shed could become a home office? 🤔😉🤣
We don't normally bother with Valentines either pixie. We're just looking for anything that creates something other than daily monotony. Special meals help. My DH loves sherry trifle. I'll send him round. 🤣6
