Thanks for sharing that news MrsPorridge. It's strange how birds can ignore a box for ages and then decide it's OK to use. It happened to my DD1 last year and, like you, she was thrilled. Prior to that it was a very decorative Orla Kiely bird box which looked super but was totally ignored by the bird life. 🤔
You've had a truly awful time recently sugarbaby. So pleased to hear that your sister is home and on the mend. It's sad that you can't attend your cousin's funeral or visit your aunt. This must have happened to so many families in the past year . I'm hoping the vaccines will soon mean that those in care homes can have visitors very soon. Well done for sticking with all your beauty routines and I'm sure you'll soon get back to the healthy eating and those delicious meals. 😋
We took advantage of a bright, sunny morning to get out for a walk. It was another mainly urban one. We had intended to walk through some parkland too but it was very muddy underfoot so we'll go back there when the weather improves. I don't think much of the promised snow tomorrow will reach us but it's going to be bitterly cold so we may not get out for a few days. I'm so glad I bought some extra thermal tops! 🤣

I just had to share a photo of my flowers. I bought them YS 10 days ago and they're still looking great. I've had so much pleasure from them. I wouldn't normally buy spray carnations but I think they have a vintage look about them. 😊9

Sugarbaby congratulations to you and your family for the arrival of that delightful new baby. It is good to see you again, I have thought of you so often and hoped that your faith was sustaining you.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)7

Bitterly cold here this morning - don’t think I will be going out anywhere today.
Lovely to hear about the birds using your nesting box MrsPorridge - it will be so interesting to see them rear their young.
Had a lovely walk yesterday (about 3.5 miles) through the local fields and woodland - still very muddy but found this gorgeous carpet of snowdrops in the wood - there were also signs of the bluebell leaves just poking through the soil - all positive signs that Spring is on its way - even though it won’t feel like that for the next few days ❄️🌨.
Your carnations look gorgeous maman - they have lasted so well.
I removed my nail polish last night and pampered my nails with oil and then my hands with some cream - I had to trim my nails a bit as the were getting a bit too long but I might paint them again this evening.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday 😀8 -
Thanks for the snowdrops sukey. It will make up for missing out on my annual trip to Kingston Lacey. 😊
Thanks for reminding me about oiling my nails. Mine are is super condition at the moment and I want to keep them that way! Since I watched that beauty programme, I've been buffing with the electric toothbrush once a week so that may be helping. . This evening I'll oil them and shape them a bit but that's all they need at the moment. Plus loads of hand cream of course!
I think all moisturising is essential at the moment to combat the effects of the central heating.
No sign of any snow here but I didn't expect any. Forecast says it could come this evening. At the moment it's bright but very cold outside. I'm not planning o going anywhere. 😉 I've put on a thermal top and socks and will add layers through the day as necessary. Stay safe and warm everyone. 😊9 -
For my moisturising my hands and feet l bought cotton gloves and cotton socks and apply lots of hand and food cream while sat watching tv with my gloves and socks on - gives an intense treatmentCount down to retirement 20236
