Hello Ladies, 

I had to go to my local Post Office on my way home from a group session at Blackfriars Settlement and I was surprised to realise that Lorraine Chase was also in the queue. 

It was only when she spoke and I recognised her voice that I became aware of her presence in the post office. She was asking for the parcel hatch to be opened, as she wanted to donate a large tub of Celebrations chocolates to the post office staff, which was a thoughtful gesture. 

It is obvious that she is either residing in the local area temporarily or she now lives locally. I hope it is the latter. I would love to have a chat with Lorraine Chase one day.   

She was again very stylish and well groomed.

I can't remember if I said this, I think I did, but I went through a few weeks when I couldn't eat properly after my dog died. I lost 16 lbs in all.

I stood on the scales this morning and I have gained 9 lbs back after being on this medication Pregabalin (Lyrica is the American name for it).Does Lyrica cause weight gain?

I have gained 9 lbs in 9 days taking it. Oh dear. I guess it is more important that I am not in a lot of pain though. It has made me feel more relaxed and obviously has given me my appetite back, lol.

Anyway, I am dyeing my hair again today the same colour, chestnut. It seemed to fade quite quickly so I wanted to do it again for the weekend to feel refreshed. I wish I hadn't cut my hair so short as it was really long duing lockdown. I cut my hair if anyone remembers as I couldn't see my mobile hairdresser. I think I'm going to grow it now.

I mean it's not that short, shoulder length, but I would prefer it a bit longer.

It's quite casual tomorrow so I'm going to wear a maxi dress, a top and trainers for the film and meal. I will take my denim jacket in case it gets colder at night.

I'm not sure what to wear for the concert yet. I'm going to do a face pack and cream then serum tonight. I think I will do my nails red for Saturday.

Well I am having an amazing week bargain wise. Popped into B@Q. They well selling off plants, bought ferns for the shaded spots, some evergreen shrubs all £1 each, then blow me trays of dianthus and pansies. 6 to a tray, again £1 per tray.  Plus 4 bags of bulbs.  I also have a load of last years bulbs to back in too.

Looks like I'm going to be busy.......hopefully get them all in over the weekend whilst the weather holds.  

Sorry to hear you are still struggling with pain, Wednesday. Hopefully once things get back under control you will be able to either drop or reduce the meds and then lose the extra weight.  

Pleased to say, that after plateauing for weeks, I have finally lost 3lbs this week.  Still got a long way to go though......but hopefully that's me on my way now.   More importantly my blood sugar levels are coming down again.  They spiked a few weeks ago (stress related)  and I was a bit concerned I might have to go on medication.  Thankfully I think I have managed to avert that.  

Got my flu and covid booster jab booked for 30th October. 😱🤣.  Oh well needs must.

WEDNESDAY I too have recently been put on pregabalin, n my appetite has gone crazy!! I'm not happy as have recently lost 2.5st doing keto,  n to be honest it's not really helping my pain

It's my Birthday today,  so am out for a meal tonight with the family.Am going to have a pamper day, doing my nails etc.

I just sent you a PM Candygirl. Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great time tonight. Oh yes, I meant to ask how your keto thing was going too. Someone I know is doing the Fast 800 diet at the moment and it sounds awful.

I really loved the James Bond film last night!:) I was really shocked by how much I enjoyed it. I did really like Skyfall but I liked the way this one tied all his films up. I would give that easily 9 out of 10. I think I liked it more than my brother and he is a big fan of James Bond films.

I was getting dressed yesterday and I changed my clothes at least ten times before I left the house. I am going through my wardrobe one day next week and I am going to be ruthless as I hate so many of my clothes at the moment! The clothes will all be donated as they are in good condition.

I am just drying some laundry and I need to vacuum. My husband is dropping my dog off at the kennel today. I am going to deep condition my hair and have a bubble bath. I have a few outfits to wear out tonight and I like them all so at least I won't have the same wardrobe problems I had yesterday!

Hi fabbers,
 
I haven’t posted recently, as still busy with work, but my contract is coming to an end and I’ve decided to take a big of time off and think about what I want to do.  I feel my work life balance isn’t very good and I need to address that. In normal times, we’d have holidays, day trips, visiting family etc, to keep life fun, but the pandemic stopped all of that.  I’m knackered and really feel like a need a break.
