Hello Ladies,
I went to watch the film Respect yesterday at my local Odeon and I really loved it. I was singing and dancing to all of the glorious Aretha Franklin music being superbly performed by Jennifer Hudson. Musicals are so uplifting for me.
My son finally got the results by email for his Philosophy Degree. He has achieved a 2:1 a second class Degree with honours and I am so, so proud of his achievement.

Well done, young man. And you both look fab.Just having a break. Chucking it down so no outside work today. Instead I am blitzing my wardrobe. Doing a complete Marie Kondo. Everything out and on the bed, cleaned all the shelves etc. Then as I put things back I did a major declutter. So far two black bin liners full for the chazzer. Feels so good. 😁
Just one drawer for decorating/gardening clothes. What I'm left with is clothes that flatter me and make me feel good. Over time (as I lose weight🤞) these will be edited even further and upgraded. My plan for the winter is to go through the house like a dose of salts......😂🤣. I reckon I could get rid of 50 per cent of my stuff and not even miss it.8 -
Many congratulations to your son on his degree success @sugarbaby125 ! You must be so proud of him. 👏👏👏7

Lovely photo of you both sugarbaby - you must be a very proud Mum 👏👏👏
Sounds like you had a good clear-out this morning LL - I did the same with my wardrobe at the start of the Spring but will need to do it again soon to swap over to my Autumn/Winter clothes.
Car passed its MOT this morning and I had an interview 😀 - it is only for some part-time bar work covering weekday lunchtimes but, to be honest, after over two decades of a very full-on job it will suit me just fine. I am going in for a trial shift on Thursday. I used to do quite a bit of bar work both when I lived in London and when I first moved to Dorset 25 years ago but I am a bit rusty on pulling pints 😉.

Well done @sukeyboo. It's good to hear that you've got some work and probably a bit of part time will be enough. Whatever happens it's always easier to look for work from another job as you have a choice.
We had a lovely lunch in a country pub and the family have just been round for birthday cake for DH's birthday.
I wore my Zara maxi shirt dress, open over leggings. I was thinking today that so many clothes now are suitable for all the year round wear. Jeans are the obvious ones but there are others that wouldn't have been considered years ago. Now I wear 'evening' skirts with boots and jumpers and cotton frocks with layers underneath.
Tomorrow we've got a guy coming to service the boiler. It stopped working on Christmas Eve and this lovely plumber came and fixed it so he's coming to make sure it's OK for winter.
We've also got a man coming on 27th to start on the back garden. It's a big job as we're having the garage dismantled (asbestos ☹️), new fencing and the whole area laid to lawn. We thought if we have a blank canvas then we can decide what to do afterwards. At some point I want a large shed/summer house but anything like that is like hen's teeth at the moment. All go but it will be good to tick off some jobs. 😊8 -
Congratulations to your Son Sugarbaby, you must be so proud

Good Mornjng my lovely friends.Back on the Miracle Mornings. I'm up dressed, exercised, breakfasted, done some washing, and am raring to go. Just awaiting the builder. Once he's settled in I will nip to Aldi. Will drop off the two bags of discarded clothing to the chazzer but won't dawdle. I don't like to leave the builder too long just in case he needs my input. Then either some more decluttering later or make use of the good weather and some gardening (although don't want to get in the builders way, he is currently doing some outside jobs). I am hoping to get the spare wardrobes cleared so that I can ask the builder to dismantle them .....before I release him. 😂🤣.Have to say my new streamlined wardrobe looks fab.....so neat and tidy. 😁
have a good day......keep fabbing.7 -

I had such a good time yesterday. I went to meet my friend to try on some frames in an opticians in Soho and then we went for a vegan meal and then to a bar and then to the concert.
The concert was outstanding! Everyone was going crazy, it was like a massive singalong. That is what months of being indoors does to people.2025 GOALS
