hope you are ok Mrs P. It's terrible times for us all. I was in school today, we remain open for vulnerable and key worker children. I feel that if schools hadnt gone back last Sept we would be in a better place now. We all just have to make the most I suppose. Hopefully better times are coming. Sugarbaby, if you are checking in I am thinking of you through your difficult days.I am continuing watching Ann with an E, and have a book on the go. I am trying to think of new things too, I have started and put away 2 1000 piece jigsaws, so may try a smaller one.I've treated myself to a couple of dresses from Tesco that I can wear with tights and boots and a couple of thin long cowl neck tops that look ok with leggings and long boots. I think that will be it for clothes for a whiletake care everyone6

Another lockdown. It probably won't make that much difference to my life as my husband still needs to go out to work and I am just trying to fill my day with reading and going online. It's annoying about the exercise only allowed once a day. I have already started using my trampoline but I have to look into what else I can do indoors to stay active.
My walk today was freezing cold so I ordered a few new winter clothes this afternoon when I got home. A new high neck black jumper, a cosy loungewear outfit for home, two thermal long sleeve tops, a gilet and a pair of trainers. I forgot the scarves as I was thinking that I could get some from chazzers but probably not for a while now.
I'm about to have a glass of wine and watch some YouTube before bed. I am tired so I won't stay up too late. I've been taking melatonin as I have some in the house and I read that some experts think that it might help against Covid. Donald Trump was apparently given it when he was ill. Here's What to Know About Trump's Experimental COVID-19 Treatment

@Wednesday2000 I have quite a few l/s thermal tops from Sainsbury's & M&S. The M&S ones have a lace-trimmed V-neck, I've got black & ivory in those, and several block colours plus a slightly sparkly one from Sainsbury's. They are the newer thin hi-tech thermals and are great to wear under a fine top layer. Today I wore my purple one under a fine purple merino wool sweater, and didn't turn on the heating from 9.30am until 4pm. Also, if you wear open cardigan with a thicker scarf, you won't notice the lack of buttons so much as the scarf "fills" that gap.

Sheila I’ve just finished watching Anne with and E. I remember watching a version of Anne of Green Gables when I was young and I don’t remember that Anne being as annoying as this one was. Even though I liked this Anne, there were times I wanted her to shut up.
I also liked the way they incorporated BAME and gay characters, but without their storylines just focussing on those issues.Floss I’ve heard good things about the Sainsbury’s thermals. I have Uniqlo ones, which I believe are similar. I like that they can be layered without adding bulk.
wednesday what about trying some online yoga. I’ve read that Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube is doing a month of Yoga. I was going to do it with DD, but haven’t had the chance to start yet.6 -
I am a bit funny with the cold. I don't feel the need to wrap up that much, it is just my hands and feet that suffer, hands particularly. I always suffered with chilblains as a child which was a misery. I think my blood doesn't reach the extremities.5

Floss - I know, I should be dressing for the cold better.
I went through my wardrobe this morning and looked through my tops and moved all the thicker material tops next to my jumpers to layer them. Ribbed material seems to be warmer. Some of my vest tops are so flimsy, I've no idea where I bought them but they are no good in chilly weather.
I think there were a couple of winters in the past years where it was so mild that I didn't even wear a coat. Ah, that is right when we had snow here a few years ago (2017?) I had a full length black coat that was extremely warm but I lost weight so it got far too big so I had to donate it.
I'm going to wear a black long sleeved top with my black ribbed dress over it, a dark pink jumper, tights and cherry boots today. When I go for my walk I will put my dark pink and black scarf on and one of my black macs over that. That should be enough layers. I think my scarf is called a blanket scarf?
Chanie - I've heard good things about Yoga with Adrienne a few times. I'm not very flexible but I could see if she has a beginners class.2025 GOALS

its going to be walks for me too. We are doing a house competition at school where we submit a scree shot of our steps each day! So I will do my bit. I am not in school today. I am going to stock up on a few cards and shopping this morning. I doesn't feel quite as cold today. My hands are dry, going to use the Cath Kidston hand creams that I got for Christmas, they feel a bit like sand paper at times with the constant washing and gelling7

Some well thought out layers there Wednesday, hope it does the trick on your walk. 😊
I'm going to take a look at the thermal tops in Sainsbury's later in the week. They look good on line and have good reviews. Hopefully they won't all be sold out because of the cold weather!! 😉
I'm thinking about feet today. I have had problems in the past. I got some sort of fungal infection that gave me flaky, cracked skin and then spread to my nails. Yuk! Nothing would shift it until eventually my GP did a referral to dermatology and I had an oral antibiotic. It was like magic. My skin cleared up almost overnight although I had to wat for my nails to grow through. Since then I've really looked after my feet. I usually have a regular (about 8 weeks) appointment with the podiatrist during the winter and then have pedicures at the nail bar in the summer. This year I've just stuck with the podiatrist and painted my own nails in sandal season. The podiatrist has recommended an antiseptic spray or tea tree oil just as a precaution. I'm fine with that but very lazy when it comes to creaming my feet. Perhaps I should put foot cream in my manicure basket.🤔
It is bright here today and doesn't seem so cold. Not sure whether I'm going to venture out. What are the rules now? Can we go out as often as we like? As long as we like? I think it's stay local though. I must read it up. I was distracted last night as Boris came on tv just as my team were kicking off against Liverpool. No contest!!🤣8 -
Feeling much better today - thanks all for your kind thoughts and comments.
Tonight I will have pamper session - long bath and put a face mask on.
Have been out for a quick walk but it is very cold here today, but nice and sunny.Debt free and Keeping on Track5 -
I wear compression gloves at night as it stops/reduces arthritic pain. The big advantage I've found is if I slather handcream on and then put the gloves on my hands are lovely and soft in the morning.7
