Thank you @joedenise I will be making a vat of mince ready for bolognaise and a cottage pie I think. We will be having a curry but only me and DD1 as the other 2 don't like it, so will only do a small slow cooker one for that. I think for that one I will chop everything ready and pop it in the fridge ready for it to be chucked in the slow cooker one morning. I may make a lentil and sweet potato dahl this weekend though for the freezer as I have all the ingredients. DS will not eat any of the above so I will make sure I have bits for him too. While I did go shopping yesterday I would like to make a list of the meals planned so when my head is fuzzy from long days at work, I will know what I am cooking / heating up. Will write them and stick them on the inside of the kitchen cupboard I think so it is easy for all to see.
We didn't have sausage and mash last night as DD1 went out earlier than planned and it is a favourite of hers, so instead we had loaded fries which was nice and easy.
I forgot to get the cat food yesterday so will need to pop somewhere to get that later, and also I need to drop off a library book before we get fines added. Nothing much else happening today. I need to nip into another town tomorrow to drop some clothes back and maybe to buy a new bra. Mine keeps popping open at the most inappropriate moments. It is a few years old but I have others in worse condition so not sure why. I googled it and if I'd lost weight it would make sense but unfortunately that is not the case. So think I will need to treat myself to a new one. To be honest I could do with a couple but will see if I can find any deals.
Right the sun is shining so will go and make the most of it

I've done what I need to do today - cats now have food and I have collected the German phrase a day calendar for DD2. It may be 2017 but she is not worried about that luckily. A friend of ours is also off her travels and will pick her up a magazine for her to look at. She has previously bought her back lidl leaflets and any other free written material. She uses it to get familiar with the words. She will embark on her exam work next week for all of her choices including German so if we can expose her to things outside of school it will hopefully help. I can only remember 1 phrase from my lessons so not a lot of help to her.
Now sitting down watching a film before starting dinner and settling down for the evening. Making the most of the last few days rest before the crazy term starts again.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Last day before I go back. I have my bag packed for my trip to London with snacks and my fizzy caffeine fix. I have spare batteries for hearing aids and pain relief should it all get too much. Then I have my tickets and those of the person who is starting tomorrow so couldn't collect them. I need to be at the train station at 6.45 latest so just need to wake up on time.
Shower and pjs as soon as DD1's friend has left and then need to cook our curry / bbq chicken and rice for dinner. A little tv and then bed early. Let the Autumn Term begin

First 2 days done and they have been really long full on days, so I am exhausted already. Watching the first episode of bake off, then shower and bed.
Another long day tomorrow but will be putting the slow cooker on in the morning (if I remember) and will have beef stew by the time I get home. At least there are no clubs tomorrow evening so once home we can rest.

Well I have made it to the end of the working week. Tired but ok. Finished on time today after doing a number of extra hours the other days. Pleased that I haven't caved and rung the takeaway as yet.
Today is DD1's last day at her job - she will be sad but glad she can join in with social events more. He partner that she works with will miss her and made her a cake at the beginning of the week. She starts uni on Monday.
DS has done a week back at college and still enjoying things. Although with 3 days and no breaks in between I could see he was tired yesterday on day 3. Last year they had different days so not all in 1 block. This year he will have a lovely 4 day weekend off. I let him sleep in this morning.
DD2 is on day 2 of being back and the only thing that she has had a moan about so far was that she had to sit near a boy! So really if that is the only this to worry about, I think she will be ok. I have just received an email to say that she won first prize in the teens library challenge that ran over the holidays. Have sent her a text to pop in on the way home to collect her prize. How exciting.
Plans for the weekend - no idea really as I have been so focused on going back, I haven't really thought much about what happens after. I hope to relax without having the uncertainty of so many things. Nothing in the diary other than DS at work on Sunday. There is a festival happening in the village I would like to move to so we may pop by there for a little while. We also need to collect some euros ready for DD2's trip to the battlefields with school. I need to find my divorce paperwork to send off to the student finance people for DD1 to get a bit more maintenance loan, but really that is it. It is going to hopefully be a calm relaxing few days.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Had an unsettled night and kept waking for some reason. Stayed in bed until 7 which is a little lie in for me and then the decided it was time to let the cats out or I would have some cleaning up to do.
Found out from my sister that dad ended up in a&e this week as he got a hot ember in eye from the bonfire. Will pop and see him today as he can't drive. Will see if he needs me to nip to the shop first for supplies. He often has things like this happen to him so not a surprise but as he is getting older I think we need to keep more of an eye on him, hence me wanting to move closer. Still no progress on that front unfortunately.
Looks like the risk of rain is low today so will try to get some washing done and out on the line, as well as airing the house a little. Although since I wrote that it has got quite dark. We have free electric between 2&3 today so maybe I will wait until then. I need to pull the weeds up again from the front garden, really I need something to kill them without killing off the plants that should be there.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well I have searched through all of the paperwork and I have no proof of divorce. Did I send it off somewhere and not realise it never came back? No idea. Anyway I have applied for a copy and hope that arrives soon so that I can update DD1's student finance paperwork.
I have cleaned the kitchen and living room (just basic putting things in the right places rather than cleaning), and have a load of washing in the machine ready to switch it on when it is free electric time.
Picked the remaining tomatoes and will tidy up the pots later today.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Woke up a little later than normal again today but not super late, let the cats out and had breakfast. Eventually woke DS up as he has work today. Dropped him off and then went onto the library for a book I had reserved, then on to Dad's. He is feeling a little down due his eye so was perked up with the iced buns I took round.
Came home and now have 3 loads of washing on the line almost dry. I need to work out what is for dinner tonight but have some bits in the fridge to make something with chicken. Collected DS from work and the main lights in the town were out, but traffic was flowing better than if the lights were working.
I was saying to my friend that this weekend has been more restful than the whole of the holidays as I am not so anxious about going into work and wondering how it will work. Such a weight has been lifted which I am grateful for. Fingers crossed I can now start looking forward and making plans a little more.

Another few more days done, DD1 had her uni induction day. There are only 4 in total on the course so surprised but glad it went ahead.
DD1 also had a call from her aunt as the their nana has been diagnosed with lung cancer which has now spread to her brain. It doesn't sound very promising but not sure as I wasn't part of the conversation. Her aunt that is about the same age as her rang her as they know XH wouldn't have passed the message on.
However in better news while we were at club this evening, I had a phone call from the agent saying we have a viewing Thursday evening. So everyone please keep your fingers crossed and hope we can make the house beautiful, clean and spacious by then. I so want to dream they will buy it, but know I will get carried away dreaming and then be disappointed. They are looking at several houses including the one we like so I am thinking they may have sold already and will just pick the best one.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
