Fingers crossed for DD1 and all the best to you and the horrid job that you have to do, hope all goes well xMortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Thank you @Jessy103 I have completed the horrid job today and now just have to keep my fingers crossed and wait for an answer. I've done all I can do for now. DD1 didn't get the apprenticeship and is sad, but at least we know now and we can get moving and applying for lots more. There are a few good looking ones that she would be good for. The right one will be there for her, I just think she needs to aim a little lower and work her way up, rather than going straight in at the top.
DD1 is also suffering with a sore throat today and feels dizzy when standing. I am considering giving her one of the C19 tests we have left and seeing if it is that. She wont call the doctors so its been hot drinks and paracetamol to help.
A days work done for me and am in a quiet phase again. I could have done with another little project to keep me busy today as the time dragged. Anyway nothing planned for me tonight as there are no clubs or extra bits needed tonight. Shower and early to bed to read I think. Tomorrow is a half day and then a trip to the hospital for DS's hearing test. I also have my exercise class. I need to check we are still all go for the bathroom in 2 weeks time.

Work done, DS hearing test completed and all ok, DD1 taken to see 2 pharmacist and has tonsilitis. The first one barely even looked at her throat (no light or lolly stick used) and offered a suggestion of suckable sweets for a week. They didn't even ask her name. The second place did a doctors type consultation and has indeed given her some antibiotics. We will not be going back to the 1st one again. Now hoping we don't all come down with it as my throat is a weakness when it comes to germs.
Dinner is in the oven, I've picked some more strawberries for my snack tomorrow at work. I need to make my sandwiches later too. We keep going one day at a time and will eventually get to the holidays.
No money spent today other than a some medicine for DD1. She was shocked to find out that come September she will have to pay for her prescription - Welcome to the real world lolMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Seems to have been a long week so far. But we have made it to Friday. Nothing planned for this weekend, but I do need to start emptying the airing cupboard and clearing a path in the loft for the builders. I have emailed them to check that it is all go for the 1st July but not heard back as yet.
I need to sort DD1's prom dress so it is ready - beads to sew on and possible the strap to adjust. She needs to look around for some black shoes. She also needs to get some euros and book her travel insurance for when she visits Grandma in Spain in a few weeks time.
DD1 is annoying me as not prepared to look at all jobs that are available. She is also on holiday and has 'all summer to find something'. I would love her to get a high up job, but it is her first full time job and that is not always possible. Sometimes it is the gaining experience that matters. She is also turning her nose up at any job she doesn't like the sound of before looking into what she would actually be doing. I'd just like it sorted before the holidays so we can all enjoy our free time. Her 1 day a week shift in the cafe will not cover her expenses.
I have a phone call to deal with the horrible job I've had to do next Friday. I am trying to rearrange it as it is when I am at work and I don't want to speak about things there. If they can do it one afternoon it would be better. Hopefully after this it will all be sorted and I can put it behind me (I hope).
Right must get going - have a great day

The children are still half asleep after a long night babysitting and playing on games. I have been enjoying the peace and quiet but feel I should get them going more or they will turn nocturnal. DD1 tells me she did send off some applications last night when the child was in bed so that is progress.
Checked through my old email for anything important as I do each week. Found an email from child maintenance saying XH has asked the for this years decision to be looked into. Guessing this is due to his poor health and wondering if he has told them he hasn't paid since mid may? Nothing much I can do about it really as I am guessing he is only getting sick pay. He is obviously having a sort out, as the pension people have also written to him at my address saying the address will be changed - It has been 4 1/2 years since he left. I am guessing his health scare has probably scared him (or new woman) that he hadn't updated the beneficiary of the pension should anything happen to him. I imagine it still had my name on it as he is no good at paperwork.
I need to nip to lidl later to get some fizzy pop as am all out. Need to build the stores up again as in summer their own stocks are not great. The builders confirmed they are still all good to go on 1st July
Speaking of summer where is the sun? I have a load of washing to go on the line but it looks like rain again and I am back in long trousers and a cardi. I was hoping to get in the garden and cut the grass and do a few tidying up bits. Oh well I will carry on doing the inside work.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

DD1 & DS are off at work and DD2 is preparing to go out just after lunch. I may have an hour or 2 at home all by myself. This rarely happens now as they don't see XH and 2 out of 3 are finished at school so always at home.
The sun is out and washing is already on the line. I need to get the front grass cut today as it has become jungle like again. I would like to get the hedge cut too but dad hasn't dropped hedge cutter off as yet. I may end up buying my own at some point so I don't need to keep asking.
Roast joint is in the slow cooker ready for later, and I just need to make the potatoes and veg.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Most of the washing dry before the bbq's started. Just sitting down after cutting the grass. Still much more both inside and out that needs doing, but need a sit down for a minute.
I have about 15 minutes before I need to collect DD2 from the cinema. Might pop to b&m to see if they have any fans for work at the same time. I have one from last year, but now I have hearing aids and can hear it, I would like one slightly quieter for the sake of me and the lady I share a room with.
Dinner smelling good although not sure if we really need a full roast on a hot day like this. Picked the remainder of the strawberries and will add to some ice cream for pudding.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Work absolutely flew by today and at 12 I could have sworn it should only have been 10.30. I am really busy again but was only in until lunch time. Had to fill the car up on the way home as the light has been on since yesterday and Im not so sure how far I can go yet in the new car.
Once home I woke DS up! I made him fill the washing machine (twice) and it is on the line drying as I type. I also managed to use the hedge trimmer and just need to sweep it all up - left it until it was cooler.
Tomorrow DS is at college for his first trial type day, so I have been talking him through the bus, and train (should he miss the bus). I was able to get through to the SEND department and had a talk to them about what DS needs and how he can act sometimes. The lady was lovely and reassuring. I need to send them his diagnosis as it would appear the school aren't very quick at transferring the information (I already knew this, which is why I offered).
DD2 has club tonight so will drop her off then come home, sweep up the mess outside and get the washing in before collecting her. I also need to pop to a supermarket to get some rolls for lunch tomorrow but I think that is all that we need.

The working week is over but I have a lot to pack into this weekend. I heard from the builder again and the electrician will be the first person here on Tuesday to start fitting things. Seems a little odd to me as I assumed the room would be stripped first, but what do I know lol.
Anyway a list
* Clear bathroom of our bits and bobs
* Clear airing cupboard
* Make path in the loft for builders incase they need to access things from above
* Buy Euros for DD1 trip (leaving Monday)

* Send payment for old club
* Send paperwork for horrible job (Still ongoing)

Got the football on in the back ground while I get the kitchen clean and then send some paperwork off. The loft may need to wait until tomorrow. Been sewing beads onto DD1's prom dress and mended the zip. We found it in the charity shop for under £10. It just needed a little TLC. There are more beads to sew on but the loose threads have all be dealt with now. I need her to try it on again before she goes away tomorrow as I may have time this week to adjust things if they are needed. She still doesn't have her shoes but tells me she has a few days once home to sort them out!
