Right 1st of June so that means moving some money to different places.  All now done.  I only have 3 payments left for my help to save and then the account will mature.  I will use this to pay off the money borrowed to help buy the car.  It was all in the plan so all good.

At the moment there is no rain and I am hoping it stays that way as the washing never appeared from the older 2.  Maybe I can pop it onto the line to dry?  Back to revision today as Monday morning is maths.  It is one of DS's more confident subjects, but not letting him get away with no revision and practice.3

It sounds like DS may have been offered to do the Saturday shift as well as the Sunday shift at work.  Not sure if it was just this week, or from now on.  If each week that will double his money so he can save for his driving lessons.

This morning I have also been looking at the 6 week summer holidays.  DD1 and DS will obviously have much longer than DD2 and I, but it would be nice to do some family things before DD1 possibly looses her summer holidays (if the apprenticeship happens).  I have asked them what they would like to do.  So far make pizza swirls and have a carvery!  I best get going with the survey sites to start earning some more pennies to help.

The sun is finally out - yay.  All our moods are lifted even if it is the last day of the holidays.  Not got as much done as hoped this holiday but I have just defrosted freezer number 1 in the kitchen. Freezer 2 in the garage will have to wait until the summer holidays.  Everything is put back and I have a better idea of what is in the freezer now to use up.  Burgers may appear on our meal plan lol.

Second load of washing is about to finish and be put on the line.  I need to pack bag ready for 1st day back and make sure the children are all ready too.  Older 2 both have exams and DD2 will need her instrument for her lesson after school.

2 weeks to go until exams are over
4 weeks to go until the bathroom is fitted
7 weeks to go until the summer holidays

Trying not to wish my life away, but the holidays look good right now lol

First day back and thank goodness it was only a half day.  I keep nodding off now if I sit still for too long.  I didn't sleep well - think it was the text I sent to XMIL telling her to go away, as well as going back to work. Just need to collect DD2 from club then I am getting in the shower and then bed.  I do need to make my pack lunch for tomorrow as it is a full day.

Money - today is the child maintenance annual review.  I am in theory just under £4 better off a week, however as last weeks has not been paid and he is now off work for a while I think this will change.  It also didn't mention the fact that DD1 will be leaving full time education in the next few weeks, but is in the calculation.  I am sure that should make it drop.  Not sure whether I am supposed to inform them about the non payment as it seems mean picking on someone in hospital, but will they hold that against me for some unknown reason.  Will see if I can find some info on the net or maybe speak to citizen's advice.  XH is planning on going home today so must be on the mend.

Another exam down for DS, and one tomorrow for DD1.  Slowly working our way through them.

DD1 had her opticians appointment and her prescription has changed.  They were not keen to give her new glasses as she wasn't supposed to have her eye test for another year (once she has left full time education and will need to pay), but surely if her eyes have changed an appointment and new glasses are needed.  She went by herself and said she felt very awkward but they did allow it in the end.  Had to move DD2's appointment as DD1 wants me to go with her to her interview on Wednesday.  This is the one that she would like so everyone keep your fingers crossed.  It would be great to have something ready to go on to as all this uncertainty takes a lot of brain space.

Right off to collect DD2 :)

I asked for an eye test within a year and was told I'd have to pay for the eye test if my prescription hadn't changed but if it had then it would be covered by the NHS fee.  I would imagine it would be the same for a youngster who doesn't pay anyway.

We were told the same.  They have all had yearly appointments up until now and most years I think their eyes have changed.  Thankfully there was no charge, and to be honest if there had have been I would have been on the phone.

Last night we picked up some bread items from olio to keep us going this week.  I asked for a loaf of bread and got 5 loaves.  Have popped 4 into the freezer for now until we need them.

British gas have refunded me some more money.  I never asked for it and not sure why as that was my buffer amount for the winter.  I may just repay it back into the account.  I like to know that if we need the heating on we are going to be covered.

Child benefit day today too.  Lucky it arrived from the looks of it as many people having issues according to Martin.

Right must get going - mince out of the freezer for dinner tonight - thinking chilli and rice

I think the child benefit fiasco only affected people who get their money on a Monday.  They said on the news it's now been sorted and that anyone due CB today would get it.  Those who were expecting it yesterday have got to wait until tomorrow for it.  Could be very difficult for some people.

What a week, 4 exams, 2 interviews as well as a super busy week at work and DD1 visiting XH and finding out more information.  I am glad it is Friday and I have my pjs on, have eaten our very easy dinner of jacket potatoes, and am now on the sofa for the night.

I think all exams went well or at least ok.  Both interviews went ok but we are hoping for the 1st one more as she is actually sort of qualified for, rather than just being 1 of the 2 who applied lol.  The second one she was the 2nd to be interviewed and recognised the name in the visitors book,  it was her old boyfriend from school who is 10 times more suitable for this role.  Who knows though as he still doesn't have all of the bits needed for it plus doesn't like to travel which is required.  She should know by Monday either way, and then Friday for the 1st and more realistic job.

XH is back at his house and not allowed to anything for the next 3 months.  He will then be taken back into hospital for another operation.  He is blind in one eye and apparently has a tumour.  Sounds like he is lucky to be here still.  He is having a hard time talking and finding the words to say.  DD1 is glad she went but doesn't feel the need to rush back.

She is having a hard time at the moment as her friends seem to be going out each night but not inviting her to join them.  There is a new girl in the group that seems to have taken her place.  She is so sad and I don't know what I can say to cheer her up.  She knows she will make more friends in new adventures and that if they are doing this to her they are not really her friends, but she has no friends now and that is all she can focus on.

Nothing much happening this weekend other that cleaning and revision, and maybe some more job applications.

DD1 has gone off to work, I've printed the last set of maths revision for DS which I am sure he will love to complete, and DD2 is now getting dressed so we can nip to the library and B&M.  DD2 volunteered with the summer reading challenge last year and will be helping again this year - good for confidence building and the CV.

I need to get a 40th birthday gift (she wants chocolate) so will get that at the same time, and a card and then that is her sorted.  Still need to think what I can get best friend as she is so difficult to buy for, I always struggle.

I need to do a meter ready and send some letters (will post in town).  A few admin bits and then I will sort the house out.

Shockingly DS did his maths revision with out me needing to ask him - now he learns with only 3 exams left!  Letters posted, library book collected and volunteering applied for.  Chocolate and birthday card purchased, meter reading taken and submitted.  I am super productive today.  Also on the 2nd load of washing, although it is so grey and miserable I think it will all be dried in the machine today.

As I have completed my list, I am a little unsure what to do next.  Might tackle DD1's prom dress repairs after lunch so that it is done and we wont be rushing around nearer the time.  It is the first time I have been able to sit down with nothing needing to be done urgently.  Seems very odd to me.
