    I think its time for me to come away from E.ON after many years they are no longer cheaper in my area, could be Octopus through TCB £44 cash back, now so fed up with IHD crashing and although using smart meters for over 12 Months get estimated bills, and difficult to get on site .see what happens in the next month ?

  • My latest  post on DownDetector:-
    "02:20, 12/01/2021 Access to an electronic copy of the paper bill that was available through the "Billings and Payments" page has today been removed. So, somebody in management gave that instruction. And the existing "Get Bill" buttons, still don't work.

    Either, this change in the website is a work-in-very-slow progress and that the "Get Bill" button will be enabled in the course, or it's an attempt to confound open competition but preventing customers viewing the price of electricity per KWh applicable to their account/individual charge - as far as I know, the only place this was ever stated was on the paper bill and it's electronic copy, and there's no separate tariff page on my on-line account page.

    If this doesn't resolve quickly, this matter will be presented to the Regulator and the relevant Government Minister in charge of competition policy."

    • I'd be glad to learn from Eon (Rather than their apparent competitors) if there are not providing their customers  with the industry standard  unit of account, the Kilowatt Hour, what other index are they providing for the purposes of the customer wishing to determine Value for Money. And why haven't their customers been advised in advance if the change.
    • If you change your supplier, the new supplier will require you to have a Smart Meter. In the words  of MHT, "No, No, No".

    • 11:00, 15 Jan 2021,  At last ! Customer access to the Eon website seems to have been fully restored. Fingers crossed.
      Why the hell did it take so long ?
