14:25, 6/1/2021 Copy of my latest post on Down Detector (Previous, 14:10 one was removed) - who's pocket are they-in ?
It worse than one of Mr Eric Blair's novels."Now totally unable to log-in to my on-line Eon account using either Windows or Android platforms (And the app doesn't work for me).
I was able to log-in this morning, but unable to access anything other than the "Payments" page.
Access has been problematic for the last 48 hours
"Billing page" hasn't worked for a fortnight. No response to E-Mail I sent to Group CEO Michael Lewis
"World Beating"
Rip Van Winkle couldn't do better !
TTA - the first two words of the acronymn are Totally Tedious . . . . as is the over-protective moderator policy on this beknighted forum."

Another product of the hugely successful UK schema of back-of-a-packet-of Woodbines business planning, under investment in everything and over commercialisation. What a brew !0

Eon's share price doing well today, up 10 cents in the Euro:-
https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=share+price+of+Eon&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
So usual City of London reverse logic applies . . . the worse they do for the customer the more they get rewarded and reward themselves.
I wouldn't be surprised if, pre-brexit, some alternative UK energy suppliers haven't been eyeing-up Eon's customer base with a view to encouraging some defections post Brexit . . . and here we are. So I suppose, in the great stitch-up that is the UK Commercial utility markets, Eon are doing the "Right-thing" for the City of London - the deal being Eon irratate a large part of their marginally profitable customer base and causing them to move to other (Perhaps native) providers and in return the City of London will talk-up your share-price -director bonus style. Everybody's happy, except the customers.

15:00, 6/01/2021 Lets see how long this Down Detector post lasts:-
"14:59, 6/01/2021 This is only a recent phenomenon for me.
Not to worry see Eon's share price on the London Market is up 10 cents in the Euro today.
At least one !!!!!!-eyed system is still working . . . the reverse City of London logic system . . i.e. the worse you serve the customer . . . the more you get rewarded and can justify rewarding yourself.
This post will going be taken down quicker than a rocket-propelled Titanic"

15:09 Gone . . . removed by the "Hand-of-God" (Or the best "Big Brother can do) into the Discqus's "Pending" category to join 10 others in the same state and a further 5 in the "Removed" category over the last 3 days. So much for Down detectors libertarian, free-speech stance. This attitude totally inflames me. Its just complicit in the preservation of corrupt vested interest.0

08:58, 7/01/2021 - As of this morning, Downdetector website appear to have "Pulled" monitoring for Eon - the icon is not visible.
Meanwhile the Eon website has a banner headline on top of the Home page saying words to the effect that they are experiencing a high level of web requests, please back-off while we take a pink pill and have a rest.
I found, this morning, that log-in to my personal Eon account is now restored, again and possible using both Windows and Android platforms + web browser, but as before, the error in the HTML script coding supporting the "View Bill" button on the Home Page and elsewhere on site still exists and causes the "Whoops something's blown" error page to display.
Examination of this HTML script coding in Windows, reveals it still contains the original incorrect file call to "\detailed-bill".
Unbelievable, in four days they have nothing to correct it.
I've checked and the workaround HTML edit that I detailed in the earlier part of this thread still works, as before in Windows only , on a once-per access basis.
Utterly appalling that Eon are either unwilling or unable to correct such a simple problem.
Either they are totally incompetent or there must be another agenda at work.

I've just checked my Eon account and find that its still showing the December quarter charge of £200 odd still outstanding for payment. But I paid this bill on the 29th December by direct account-to-account electronic transfer and I checked before making the transfer, that Eon's receiving account details haven't changed - they hadn't.
I just checked my bank account to make sure the transfer went through and hasn't subsequently been rejected by Eon and returned. It hasn't.
Unfucking believable.0 -
10 days after paying my £200 last quarter bill, my Eon on-line account is still showing the charge as outstanding.
I am still unable to access the "Billing and Payments" web page on the Eon web site, so I still can't tell whether the my payment has been received or credited. My bank account shows the electronic funds transfer to Eon as successfully completed.

I was able to confirm yesterday that the payment I made has been received by Eon and posted to my account, but only by accessing the "Billing and Payments History" web page in my on-line Eon Account using the "Sitemap" link at the bottom of the the Home web page. This newly discovered access method employs the following links:- (By double-clicking), "Sitemap" (on Home Page), then "My Account" (on Sitemap page) , then "Billing"(on My Account" page), this takes you to "Billing and Payments" page. Double-clicking on "Billing and Payments History" selector on this page takes you to . . . surprise the "Billing and Payments History" page.
But even on this page, I note that the "Go to Bill" selectors for each of the chronologically listed bills just take you to the "Whoops, Somethings Blown it !" error page.
I also note, that since last writing, the viable links "View copy of paper bill on line" and "Download copy of bill" have been disabled due to "Maintenance".
Just for my added pleasure, my local area experienced two power outages yesterday:-

Must be getting warm . . . . last three posts, yesterday, on Downdetector removed. So here's a copy of the latest one:-
Now two switching power outages yesterday in the space of half and hour to add to the multiple dysfunctional website - first time since 2004.
This post copied to a well known money saving website energy forum - Eon Billing, as three yesterday appear to have been removed.
