Screen PCN as a resident in resident only parking

Unfortunately, I don't believe there would be enough sway with residents, as they are very protective of their spaces, even though the area is gated and not accessible by the general public; even when there are plenty of empty/unused spaces.Coupon-mad said:Why is it 'up for renewal' - i.e. why are the MA even looking to appoint yet another scumbag parking firm?
There are no good ones! You end up with VCS or UKCPM, or UKCPS or Link Parking and nothing will be any fairer. They are all rogue ex-clamper IPC firms who offer no independent appeal service, despite the name the IPC give to the lip-service they pay to such a service. YOU DO NOT NEED THIS.
You realise NOW is the chance (your only chance) for all the residents to get together and make representations to the MA to tell them that none of you want a Private Parking firm, that no service has been offered that assisted any resident and that none of you accept any contract or obligation to display a permit. If the leaseholders are prepared to say that then the PPC harassment could become a thing of the past.
Here's a thread showing how to achieve it and what to write:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5997200/pcm-company-introduced/p1
READ IT TO THE END AND CONTACT YOUR NEIGHBOURS THIS WEEK. FIGHT BACK AND REMOVE THE PPC ALTOGETHER.
I believe the contract with PPC has not been currently renewed, as the MA themselves is in the process of being replaced.Coupon-mad said:Aha, OK. Do nothing then.
Ok thank you, I just got jittery, and re-read over the newbie thread. Just to note, I haven't previously mentioned, there is signage put up by the PPC - but as per the newbie thread, wait till NTK?

PPCs have no place in residential car parks, they lower resale values and discourage some putative tenants. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2

People who live in a gated community and are very protective of their spaces are the targets for parking firms. You need no parking firm. I bet other residents have got PCNs as well and see it the same as you - try proposing a whatsapp group to discuss it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Who sent that?
Is it a debt collectors letter or is it a Letter of Claim?
To help you answer that second question you need to be reading both the second post and the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread.

To help you answer that second question you need to be reading both the second post and the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread.Thank you.The letter is from the PPC. As it stands I have not received a NTK. However, the "Final demand" was received at my previous address. My V5C has been updated.Referring to the newbies thread. It mentions of dealing with a IPC associated PPC at NTK.1 -
When was your V5c updated? After this alleged parking event?Adrian1999 said:KeithP said:Adrian1999 said:I have now received a "Final demand" letter, requesting payment in full or ligitation through county court proceedings.Edit: Spelling

If so, you need to advise the PPC of your new address to avoid a court claim being issued to the wrong address and you having no opportunity to defend it.
What?? Sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to say here.Adrian1999 said:KeithP said:Adrian1999 said:I have now received a "Final demand" letter, requesting payment in full or ligitation through county court proceedings.Edit: Spelling

I'll ask again...

Is it a debt collectors letter or is it a Letter of Claim? After the parking event. What would be the best route to advise PPC of the new address. Through letter or email? The letter is not from a debt collector. What I was trying to say is that, the thread refers to dealing with PPC that are assocaited with IPC when NTK is received. As it stands, I need to advise them of the change of address.

An NTK PCN may not arrive , you could be waiting forever
Email to the DPO at the PPC to change your address from and to , with proof of the new address , such as a copy of the V5C or copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills , so a data rectification notice
If it's not a debt collector then we must assume that it is an LBC2 -

If it's not a debt collector then we must assume that it is an LBCPerfect thank you. I have received several letters dated prior to the PCN contravention and up to the most recently received "LBC". These had been given to me by my old neighbour/friend, I am confident a NTK has not been received. In terms of updating my information. Should the email simply refer to the reference number for the PCN, the associated registration, and the request to change the previously asociated address to the current address. [Then [Insert evidence]] ?As a resident of a managed area. I will never lived in a managed area again.I am messaging our MA point of contact for the residents here. Informing him of the progression of the PCN, the failure of his advice to "talk" with the PPC, and to directly request the MA to cancel the PCN with the parking service provider.Edit: bold0
