Good morning!
I am up, dressed, bed made & breakfast eaten. I am just checking the bank accounts while drinking my tea.
Todays jobs:
Deliver presents and crafts to the family that missed their last day
Pop to local shop
Deliver presents to my mum
Post card to DD1 (it will be late, but I am just forwarding it)
Then I can FLY!
Have a good Christmas eve everyone. I will try and check in later in an effort to keep on track 😁8 -
Thank you so much for all my lovely cards and the little gifts. The angel is on the tree.
Struggling to get onto an even keel, but my thoughts are with you all xx9 -
Six minutes until Christmas starts here and it's snowing.Spend less now, work less later.11

My flylady secret santa has just arrived. Thank you, whoever you are x
I’ve been clearing paperwork mountain, and generating another one in its place.8 -
Hi everyone, and Happy Christmas Eve! It doesn't feel like it here I must admit. DS has come down with a heavy cold so he's snuggled under a blanket, I ache all over and am generally dog tired. Really CBA with it all this year!News from the doctor was good, in terms of nothing untoward in bloods results, but it's now even more justifying why I feel like I do, my only last idea is that I have had COVID without realising and this is what long COVID feels like. Who knows.
I have managed to change my bedding and unload the DW. The dog had a short walk too. If I don't get on here again I hope you all take some time over the next few days to be kind to yourselves. The 25th is an arbitrary date and we don't need things to be perfect xx9 -
Afternoon all
Happy Christmas Eve to all x
Work finished yesterday and now I’m off until the 04th woot woot, all cards are sent, presents wrapped and sent where applicable, I’ve had a nice relaxed morning, did the basics, changed the bed and washed the bedding as I would usually do it on a Friday and am not tomorrow. DH and I have just had lunch and a short walk in the cold... no snow here.
Ironing is DH territory so I can safely say that mine is all done for Xmas lol.
Ok, I have book, knitting, carols playing and a cuppa, I’m settled for a few hours.
Take care all, hugs all round xx9 -
All jobs on my list done. I just need to start on the house now! Both toilets had bleach stuff chucked down them earlier, so I can scrub them. I took the dog for a walk to deliver the presents to the children as they live near the park (2 birds and all that!)
I am just having a cuppa and then I will make a start. DD2 has been out all morning, but is now home and settled herself in front of some carp tv (oh joy!) so flying is going to be hard now 😫8 -
Turkey is in oven!Sun set set is shining through what looks like snow laden clouds, we are in for a good blowing hoolie tonight, everything I can has been moved to the shed and the door firmly locked.Keep safe allBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Huh, sent a long post earlier from my phone but no sign of it so apologies if it appears twice. A rather mixed day.
- after a long night in the wac, at least I managed to get up and make tea as the new DW arrived by 9am. First load emerged sparkling and no leaks. Local 'any old iron' man is happy to take the old one away in Jan.
- Finished last 2 flower arrangements; one for the dining room table and one for the dresser. All debris, tools etc cleared away.
- Cleaned kitchen; i won't deny the floor needs mopping but that may have to wait.
- Food more or less under control, just have to make a pecan pie for this evening's dessert. Much as I normally love trying out new recipes and catering for more than 2 people, it is actually nice taking it a bit easier this year although oddly I don't appear to have any spare time. No long list of meal planning for 5 days and 6 or so people; we will eat what we fancy from the fridge at whatever time suits us.
- can't remember saying thank you for my Flylady Santa present, arrived safely thank you.
- Lounge cleaned and polished.
- Christmas table linen brought downstairs ready.
- Kind neighbour yesterday brought round a portable radiator. After joining me in WAC Mr N and I have postponed any nasty decisions about when/if/what we do about central heating until after Boxing Day.
- Phone call from care home; 5 residents have Covid including MIL. So far she just has a headache. Still dreading the phone call re my friend, who is now home, son has time off the RAF and is with her for these last few days.
- Mr N and I went for a lovely but cold walk; sunny but biting wind. Sadly no snow here. Lots of debate about whether or not we should go to church or just withdraw from human contact whatsoever for a while. Being very tired wasn't enamouring me of going to the midnight service, until I had an email from the vicar asking whether I would read my absolute favourite few verses (Isiah 9 for those of you who are also believers). We've had to get tickets for both tonight (just me) and tomorrow (both of us) so I think we will turn up tomorrow with mask and visor and if we are all uncertain we just won't go in. I can't imagine it will be a problem.
Liking tomorrow's list Valli.
Have a lovely day all of you, whatever shape or form it may take.
