Hope you are all enjoying some relaxing time in a good day.
We walked to church in the next village this morning, lovely and sunny after a light frost. Cooked and ate in a very leisurely way with only 2 of us so no performance pressure! Thank you Santa for the lovely dream catcher, beautiful colours.
Just having coffee over intellectual stimulation I.e. chitty chitty bang bang , then Zoom with mum, db, bil, a friend and her mum.
Enjoy xRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -

Stumbling in late to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, we’ve had a leisurely lunch and a walk, now curled up with a glass, a book and carols playing again. Zoom calls done with families, good fun and nice to see everyone.
Hope you are all having a good day xx10 -
Thank you very much to my Secret Santa - my New Year's resolution is to read the books which I have accumulated in a pile by my bed, so the bookmark will be used with much pleasure xx
We have eaten well today. This evening I have managed to squeeze all the leftovers into the fridge or freezer, WU again (DH had already done so after lunch) and cleaned the kitchen worktops. Rosie enjoyed helping to dispose of some of the tastier bits off the turkey carcass: the remainder will make a good soup. I am not intending to do a lot of cooking over the next few days!
Sleep well, everyone xx

Morning all. Christmas dinner was lovely. We had scallops and beef wellington. And dauphinois potatoes
which were sliced by hand. My food processor is being thrown as the spindle housing is fractured so the cutting disc won't turn properly. I am going to hang onto all accessories Until it's replaced
in related news it takes ages to hand slice potatoes thinly.
i have a lovely new duvet and a blu Ray /dvd player as my old one was incompatible.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Day. We had some lovely presents and DH got me a large canvas of Littleydog and Poppet.Today our family Boxing Day walk after lunch will be done on our treadmills whilst chatting on zoom. DH is still housebound and can't walk for more than two minutes anyway.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning xx
I enjoyed my alternative Christmas Day. Home alone but not feeling isolated thanks to texts and phone calls, and a walk down to wish Dad a Happy Christmas in a SD doorstep chat. Lovely presents unwrapped. Pizza for lunch and a box of M@ltesers for tea. A surprise visit from DS and GF made me smile. Back in my nightie by 5PM because I was fed up wearing clothes. And then Elvis on telly. Sorted 🎅
No WAC for me last night- I didn't eat any pastry 😉. I'm up, my bed is made and I'm having a brew. DS and GF are coming for lunch today- so I need to get busy in the LR. Not flying exactly- but when they moved out they took one of my sofas and I need to declutter the other sofa so that we can all sit down comfortably at the same time. 😉
Wishing you all a wonderful day.
