Morning all
I hope you all enjoyed your day yesterday, ours turned out well for an alternative day. My plan today is to turn some of the turkey leftovers into a couple of freezer meals and some pottering about, not flying as such but I will do the dailies, refresh the flowers and put gifts away in their appropriate places. I’ve set wm to swish so that will be laundry covered off for today too. We will also get out for a walk shortly...
Righto, I’ve showered and made the bed, now to dress and make a move. Happy Boxing Day to all xx7 -
All clutter removed from on and around sofa. And it's going to stay that way. It looks like a proper person lives here!
I'm inspired to set myself a Hovel to Haven 2021 (H2H2021) challenge.....which will tie in nicely with offering a Flylady retreat in DS's old room.
Hugs to you all

Morning all
A belated Happy Christmas dear friends, I wish I could hug you all in person and say thank you for your support this year.
We had a brilliant day yesterday, seeing the boys faces as they opened their presents was priceless. DS1 in particular has been saying for weeks that he didn't want lots of presents, but he was like a 4 year old yesterday morning. Mum and Dad came over, cooking lunch was slightly stressful, but it all turned out well and everyone had a great day.
I suppose the only tiny annoyance has been the sheer amount of presents that we got, after agreeing with family that we would cut back this year. I feel a little bit stingy now because I didnt buy nowhere near as much as usual, but I know it's not supposed to be about that. And DSs GF bought me a watch, which which is lovely and I know it comes with a lot of love, but I now feel guilty because I only bought her small presents.
I didnt sleep particularly well last night (alcohol and food probably) so today will be a quiet day I think!9 -
DS and GF think they are having cold turkey and chips for lunch. Because that's what I told them. However I'm cooking a turkey roast and they're having it with mash, veg, gravy + pigs in blankets for DS. I'll have a cheese & onion pasty with my mash and veg.
The roast is in the oven and I've worked out a timetable for the rest.
Who am I? And where's Roundtuit? 🤣

One of my strings of fairy lights has failed. I'm assuming that it is the fuse bulb; I'm also assuming that it's related to the tree being toppled by PoppyCat. And then DD wonders why my tree goes up quite close to the big day.
It's really blowy; the rabbits have retreated to the hutch - I presume wind and bunny ears are incompatible. I've pegged out some washing for a blow.

i'm a little too late to join this thread for the week but I'm catching up on some much needed tasks today , I want to try and have a nice clean home for the new year so it's easier for me to implement better housework habits and organisation or at least try to before we move out
I do hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas day & are chilling / enjoying presents today too!10 -
Round - how lovely of you surprising them like that xx
Happy Boxing Day all. The dog has had two walks, the desk has been assembled and pictures put up. I have a load of washing on the line which is blowing beautifully. I’ve also chopped a load of wood, and lit the fire. A big bag for the charity shop has been started, and we’ve deposited a load of bottles at the bottle bank. I am actually preferring this Christmas to all those of previous years. I might even have a hot chocolate and a nap now xx8 -
DS & GF have just left. Empty plates all round. Then the swapping of presents before pud.
Dad and Barbara walked round for a quick SD chat as Barbara wanted to thank me for her present. So the three of us popped outside to say hello. They didn't stop long as that wind is bitter.
So that's Christmas 2020. I'm thinking it's a good blueprint for future years as I've thoroughly enjoyed it.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Evening all
Nice day has been had here, we had a walk and bought the paper, dailies done, refreshed the flowers and put gifts away, laundry shuffled and I loaded the wm ready for tomorrow, I’ve been pottering very gently interspersed with reading the latest book, doing the crossword and a bit of knitting.
We’ve just had an early supper of leftovers, rest of the turkey has gone in the freezer in meals for another time.
The wind is picking up here so I’m off to settle myself in the warm lounge with my book again.Have a lovely evening x10
