Good afternoon.
I hope everyone had a good Christmas day & Boxing day, and that everyone is staying safe, warm & dry.
I spent most of Christmas day in the kitchen, despite DH saying about him cooking dinner! He and DS spent about 3 hours helping DSiL work out zoom, and making up a quiz. She still phoned again as we sat down for dinner, even though he had just told her we were about to eat! 🤦♀️🤬
The quiz was a bit of fun, and it was good to see everyone. We had 8 households taking part!
Yesterday was a lazy day. We went for a walk along the seafront with grumpy dog. It was very busy!
Today has also been lazy. I have put the towels in the WM on a hot wash, and will put more washing on when that has done. I have that post Christmas feeling of being overwhelmed with stuff. And boxes! I am sat looking at 3 medium sized boxes that we haven't moved because the kitten likes playing in them! I want to take down the tree as it has been wrecked, but I am being outnumbered. I need to do something productive, and maybe take the dog for a walk.8 -
Lovely photos Piggers xx
6 mile walk done, last few bits of toys tidied away, fire it. I think it's meant to sleet later today, I hope it does so we can get cosy and snuggle down. If it stays fine I'll feel like we should be out walking or chopping wood. Enjoy your Sundays guys xx8 -
Hello everyone
I hope you all have had lovely days x
Beautiful photos Piggers, as always. And belated happy birthday x
I’m not sure that I said it before, but if not, thank you so much for my secret santa, I love it all.DD is being amazing. I won’t unsettle you with my sadness, but I am so grateful to be able to read along this forum and feel “normal”.
In true flylady form, I have today run the wm, done HHI, s&s the bathroom etc, sorted out a drawer in the bedroom and contemplated the vacuum cleaner. Not too keen on that last one, so after a lunch of LO pizza and antipasti (did I omit to mention the bottle of wine that happened to be open??), I am on the settee with a cuppa and an escapism book. And chocolate. Such a shame that nobody else likes B0unty and chocolate Turkish delight.
Have a lovely restful day and stay safe and dry xx6 -

Towels in the TD, WM swishing, boxes & tut moved to DR, LR vac'd.
I think I will take the dog out then settle in front of the TV with some crochet or my Little Book of Hygge 😊7 -
Afternoon
Well my doing a bit of flying turned in to hoovering and dusting every room, scrubbed bathroom, en suite and downstairs loo, 2 x wm run, one on airer and 1 in TD, bins and litter trays emptied. DH helped so it didn’t take that long and all looks good now. I’ve also rehomed some more bits and started another charity bag.
snacky lunch has been scoffed and clean up done, supper is salmon and some roasted veg but that will be later as we had a late lunch. I’m settling in with my next book.
take care all, hugs all round x7 -

Lovely photo Pigpen and happy birthday.
After a wild windy night and some rain, we heard a small crash but can't find out what it was - thought it might be a bird feeder falling onto the conservatory roof from my study but seemingly not. Roof tiles and solar panels appear intact. There was quite a bit of water on the conservatory floor this morning, it occasionally leaks if the wind is in a particular direction.
No news today about MIL; yesterday she had no further Covid symptoms.
Hugs to all and enjoy yourselves in whatever shape or form that takes so long as it is legal!!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Belated Happy Birthday Pigpen, lovely photos.
Bit bored and fidgety now, cant settle to read. DS and DH have been watching non-stop sport on telly all day. I have tided some presents away, flattened some cardboard boxes and stacked them to go to the recycling. Two loads of washing done, hung one out and it dried a bit, another to go over the airer in front of the fire before bed.
I got the Batch Lady book for Christmas so have been flicking through that and jotting down a few ideas. Meals are a bit of a nightmare, DH wont eat any veg, so I cant even put mushrooms or peppers in things, I am not a big meat eater but I love veggie stuff and pulses. DS will eat pretty much anything but he is not keen on DHs tastes. When we go back to work I want a better plan for how we organise our meals as at the moment too much of it falls to me.
Hope all is OK with Dizzy and anyone else who is in a flood risk area. No-one flooded here yet thankfully.8 -
Ty all..
I think we will be snacking of fridge food for a good while..

I'm presuming Natty may yet put up the new thread and given tomorrow is a bank holiday (at least I think it is but even then I don't know if it's nationwide) I'm not going to panic just yet.
Lovely photos Piggers and happy belated birthday.
i have relaxed today but I completed second baby cardigan sleeve and knitted a pair of mittens for a baby and even sewed them up. Need to knit cardigan band. And another cardi and maybe more mittens as 2 babes are imminent.
