Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but been busy. #77 reporting for June, July and August and sheet updated.

My savings have taken a big hit due to getting a conservatory/garden room built. I also had to pay a deposit for garden landscaping to be done next year (builders/landscapers are so busy). My total for June was consequently only £235.29. Our savings for July were boosted by a small pension lump sum my wife got, so we still managed to save £5,005.36. In August we had to pay out over £9K towards our conservatory, so despite taking some money out of matched betting we still ended up at -£5,605.09 for the month. I am expecting another hefty minus figure for September when we pay our final payment for the conservatory. Hence I have downgraded my target for the year to £5K.

    No 7 reporting:
    Saved £695 this month.
    Made up from:
    Salary plus
    £75 PB winnings
    £130 interest
Pleased with this as we had a new hard standing area put in, in front of the house.
    2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons
    2025 Frugal challenge

September was another minus month (this seems to be my theme of the year sadly!). However debt is being paid back and I am clawing my way to better financial security. So this month I was -£640.45 from just 'closing my eyes' during the summer and just doing some nice things.

    Hope everyone else is good.

#6 Reporting 4202.53 for months of June, July and August!

The forum has changed a lot. Everything looks so unfamilar.

Hope everyone is slowly meeting their target!

I'm glad it's not just me thinking this - our thread seems kind of buried and difficult for people to find now. Perhaps that's why the thread is so much quieter this year?

@darkidoe, @geoffers4 I have my favourites marked (click on the pennant symbol, on the right at the top of this screen) and when I look, I go straight to bookmarks (next to my profile symbol) - so really only see the threads I am already in, unless I go looking (which I do less frequently)

Thought I’d posted my sept update but I haven’t, form submitted. Can’t remember the exact figure but it was around £350

Since the fora were revamped, all the threads look cooler and more professional, but not as much 'fun' somehow. Or maybe it's just Covid and lockdowns making us all more serious.
