£4,000 saved (including shares increase) in June, bringing my total to £17,000. I had a target just till June of £12,000 as I thought I might fully retire then. I'm still plodding on and I think I'll still be working till the end of the year, so I'll unofficially increase my target for all of 2021 to £24,000.
It's more of a subject for the pensions thread really, but I do need to seriously consider when to let go of work. I don't even enjoy it now, but the irreversibility is scary and lockdown and WFH have further muddied the waters.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

£3000 in total added to regular savers/ Prem bonds/ S&S ISA/ Share plan. Seems to have been a decent growth in value of S&S ISA and our SIPPS this month, too but I might take account of such things at year end.

We have a second hand motorhome after carefully considering for many years whether to convert a van ourselves (we are both quite handy), it popped up and we took a look, and bought it. Not everyone's thing but a revelation to us. We have done a lot of work to make sure it is dry, safe and all works as it should - at the moment it's a god-send, popping into the not- too-far countryside and taking our bikes we are exploring the countryside in a way we never have. Our big trips are not possible or desirable for the timebeing but this compensates and is a joy.
I cannot stress how much I recommend stopping work too much - you won't regret it, honestly. Life is too short, and can change in an instant. You have worked towards this, I really urge you to go for it. The benefits are hugeSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
